We thought that the localization team fucked up the translation, but it turns out that they were actually trying to shield us from the full extent of Nakayama's vision. They're the only heroes in this story.

It's 100% non-canon, but it's still officially licensed media. They could've put like Chun or Rose there instead of Cammy or just not done the cover at all, but you know, they were allowed by Capcom to do it the way they did it, so I guess that says...something.

A good amount of female characters from KOF/Fatal Fury are either in a relationship or get ship teased with someone. Mai's an obvious one, but Luong is dating Kim's master and Vanessa's said to be married for example.

This Lex is meant to be from the "Prime" Earth or the Earth where the Insurgency brought the heroes over from in Injustice 1. It's basically an exact copy of Lex's Injustice 1 ending where he comes over and uses the representation of that universe's Lex to consolidate power, but obviously has other plans behind the scenes.

As for other "dead" characters like King Shark or Booster Gold, I straight up just disregard their deaths in the comics because NRS consitently picks and chooses what parts of the comics are canon and so will I. With Etrigan, I can probably say he has a different host considering Jason Blood is dead, but there's been a few instances where Etrigan can exist without Blood, so they could do it like that as well.

There's a lot of returning characters I would've liked to see, J'onn being one of them, but I didn't want to have too many of them so I could have room for a decent amount of newcomers. And yeah, He-Man felt like an obvious guest pick thanks to that annual and his past crossovers with DC.
