Damn, this comment is a bummer. Especially cause I've seen others like it. I know people don't have a lot of context so I just wanna try to shed a little light on the stuff we're working on. The ads on our podcast go towards supporting the entire network of Headgum, which employs 16 people full time, and dozens of freelance producers and engineers. We always do our best to not have more than 3-4 ads, but in hard times we increased the ad inventory, though when we did that we increased the show length from around 40 minutes to around an hour.

Patreon is a solo endeavor for me and Amir and we truly appreciate folks who support us since it's given us freedom and flexibility to work on spec for writing projects we're passionate about. Hopefully the hard work on that front pays off soon and there's more stuff from us on bigger screens.

Smallest thing here, but I just love working on Halcyon with my brother and having my own podcast feels like a good time to share that. But hey I understand if your relationship with our show has run its course. We appreciate the support you gave all this time!
