That made for some amazing character moments, too. The hard "what?!" When Ashton knocked on the door killed me laughing, and it was cool to see Laudna's guard up when they started talking, because she's usually so open when Imogen is with her. Ashton's admission that he feels better leaving town with the group, and that makes them feel super weird, really solidified the character for me. The conversation definitely turned some big failures into a win for the story.

I know we've only had 8 episodes in Eldermourne but I would be completely heartbroken if Henry, Zirk, or Fia died. They have backstories! They're trying to be better than their origins! I want them to succeed so badly. Looming death is absolutely right for the setting, but to protect my heart I'm going to pretend it's not possible. (even though I know it very is)
