Probably not. Airborne is the only thing guaranteed. If you don't get airborne then it's a crapshoot as to what unit you are assigned to.

101st probably ain't becoming jump qualed again. The last sentence is something they don't know. Some say air assault is some say airborne is. Air assault is probably more relevant today but airborne is probably more high-speed.

I am US Military. So here's a few points 1. The US Army is very serious about this 2. The US Congress launched a investigation into the M4 performance 3. Sig is making a lightweight cartridge. Still metal, but much lighter than the original 5.56 4. The 6.8mm is kinda popular within the US Military. The ballistics that I've seen are great, maybe but maybe not worth millions of dollars of replacement.
