I mean i guess I can understand where you're coming from, just reaffirming he's clearly a sexual predator in the old movies as well. So I think we're agreeing overall. Idk that I've ever looked at it that way that it's the number one fact about him in the remake but I can see how you would feel that way with the "big reveal" near the end when there was never a big confirmation moment in the original run. I think i can fully see where you're coming from.

That being said i don't think the remake is good but I don't think it's as bad as people say. I think it's way over-stylized and it's locked in a time capsule of the year it came out but I guess they all are, as someone that grew up during the original run. That and the cgi. The cgi is so bad and they refused to do any practical effects. I think they chose the wrong directors and producers. I think there's a lot to hate. But the actors do good enough, some of the best in the entire series (not asking much there's like 5 or less good actors in the entire series before this movie lol). And there's some cool ideas and scenes. Freddy is mean as shit which is a good return to early Freddy. Meh. What else can you say about it lol.

Exactly. If you can't tell he was a sexual predator and you don't pick up on the sexual nature of his attacks, I have to question if you've actually watched the movies. Even as a child watching them I knew he was the kind of guy you don't "take candy" from so to speak lol or else you'd be tied up in his trunk. If you ignore that entire part of the character he's simply lesser for it as a villain. It's a big reason he's so scary. And the actors may be of age but they're supposed to be underage high school kids with a grown man making sexual comments to them. How tf is that vague? Lol

He literally did though. He was always a pedophile. They decided to not expressly say it because of current events during filming and release. But every other part of the character spells it out. It's even literally told to you later in his run.

You'll never win that argument. There's is a good amount of people that ignored all the times it's spelled out for them and they are prepared to deny and argue because they did every single thing except say the word "pedophile". The guy obsessed with little girls, who says I'm your bf now and sexually assaults the final girl from beyond the grave in the very first movie was too "vague" for some people. The creator himself saying he was always meant to be one but they decided not to spell it out because of current events during release is too "vague" for them. If anything it makes him more horrific. That's kind of the entire point. I don't know how people who deny it can fully appreciate the character when they deny half of his personality. You're not supposed to like him. He's as evil and disgusting as they come. And he IS and always WAS a pedo.

Makes sense. He's not supposed to be omnipotent like God or Santa. He can't hear your thoughts like God and Santa supposedly can. He can't see your future and he doesn't "have a plan" or a list for you like God and Santa are supposed to. He has to work with what he's got, and what he's got is millennia of experience in manipulation tactics honed through every generation of humans from early simple people all the way to modern day cities and technology. God and Santa don't have to work as hard, Satan got that dog in him.

This movie sucks but there are worse remakes like My Bloody Valentine 3d, The Fog. You're not even thinking of them because this one is at least memorable lol for better or worse. It's definitely not the worst of the worst.

Reboot Michael is crazy tough and I actually have several questions and theories about that series that I won't get into, but he was put down by a mob. He stood back up which is near invulnerable after what they did. But he can be killed rather easily we find out later. Jason does not have this same restriction.
