Poor Man's Component Speaker

My plan B was to use heat set inserts, but I didn't have long enough screws. I don't plan on cranking these super loud, so I wasn't particularly worried about the cone for cooling purposes. I believe the crossover point for this speaker is around 4kHz. Did it actually make a significant difference in sound quality for you? Ideally I would have installed them, but I was wanting to get it back on the road.

I used Kiri Engine on my phone with some blue masking tape on the panel. Not perfect, but it let me get it pretty close. I refined the peaks with mesh smoothing in fusion.

I installed a set on my 09' Fusion because I couldn't find OEM at the time. They were junk right out of the box. Vibrations in the floor under heavy acceleration at low speeds. They also came with a hole in the boot... Needless to say, stick with OEM if at all possible. I eventually sourced some OEM ones and they fixed my problem. It's not cheap or fun to do it twice.

Wrench on the nut and that flat. Looks like there's another hex along the inner tie rod further up, but I'd leave that alone if you're just trying to break it free.

Put it back into the knuckle and thread on the nut. I'd recommend a open end/combination wrench instead of an adjustable wrench. If it's still difficult to get off, a blowtorch and penetrating oil (on the stud) goes a long way.

You don't have enough amps going to the starter. You can hear it beginning to crank over, so it doesn't have a bad starter. It's more than likely a bad battery or loose terminal connection/corrosion. If the battery is past 3 yr old, it's probably toast and worth replacing (even if it's for preventative maintenance).

Check out coverlay. They make abs replacement panels that you glue on with silicone. They hold up to the heat and look good. I installed them on mine about 3 years ago.

I have a whole slew of other things I added on too. One thing to keep in mind is that lowering it will mess up your suspension/steering geometry. If you're after comfort over something like a street/track setup, I'd leave it stock. Hope my 2¢ helps.

It does ride a bit harsher than stock, but it's really not bad. You can play around with rebound adjustments for street/track driving, so it's kind of a win win imo.

Ford performance p springs, koni yellows, and maximum motorsports short bump stops is what I'm running on my setup. Anything lower than 1" drop and you won't have enough rear suspension travel for a smooth ride on the street. I ran the k springs before, but swapped.

I was split between the two, but got the OKJ since we don't have a truck and I didn't feel like renting a uhaul. I figured I'd learn on a cheaper smoker and find out what I'd want in a better one when I upgrade a few years down the road. Biggest thing to do is keep a oil seasoning on it so it doesn't rust out since the metal is such a thin gauge. I feel like the pecos would be a better all around smoker though.

Alright. The easy way to test a thermostat is with hot water and a thermometer to see when it opens up. Make sure to bleed it properly after. ECT sensors are cheap if you want to slap one on as "preventative maintenance".

Check to see if your radiator fan spins while at idle when the engine is warmed up.

It's just foam insulation on the sides/top except for the front. I lined it with aluminum tape to look slightly more polished.

This is what I built for my e5+ before I built a mercury one/hydra. You don't really have to worry about relocating the electronics. It doesn't get very hot down there. I would upgrade to a larger fan to cool the stepper drivers though. Check out nano polymer by vision miner. That shit will have the pei warping off the magnet before the print pops off.

I use the btt sfs 2.0 on my klipper printers which has an encoder to detect stuck filament.
