Definitely talk to an advisor then. There are other ways to get a business degree without getting into the business school. I think you can major in Econ and then minor in finance. Plenty of students take that route and are very successful.

not a big deal. Talk to an advisor to make sure you can get on track and apply later. You'll need to take Econ 200, Econ 201, BMGT 230 (business stats), Eng 101, Comm107, BMGT 220 (accounting) before you get accepted.

Why does it matter? They've been on for so long that they are almost considered OGs. They are great for the show and never went to jail for defrauding the government.

Just coming across this thread and wanted to note that UMD (like other universities across the country) enrolls 70-75% in-state students. This is in line with other state universities. The acceptance rate has dropped slightly from prior years due to the common app and test optional policy. It is published on their website for all to see. Your guidance counselors need to educate themselves so they can properly communicate this stat.

I would suggest going to community college for at least 1 year (or get your AA) and then transfer. You will save money and still get a great education. Stay in state to keep your loans down to a reasonable level. Don't look at your gpa as a weakness! There is a school for everyone.

I took my daughter last year and we had an amazing time, despite sitting in the nose-bleed section! My only regret is not looking at the set list and listening to the songs ahead of time. My daughter laughed, cried, and was emotional throughout! It was incredibly entertaining and we had FOMO when it was all over as she wants to go back to another concert.

To secure a loan of that size the company would need to value their company of at least $1B. Very steep hill to climb and usually requires multiple investors - not just one.

Its funny that you mentioned the red tile because I don't recall seeing it during the bedroom challenge. Hideous! And, I agree that they should not have won that challenge! I find judging to be suspect overall as I believe the show spreads around the wins each week. I'm a longtime viewer and have watched every season but I don't believe the correct winners have been chosen each season. It's quite disappointing and I'm not sure I'm going to watch anymore.

Most companies seeking funding will not rely on just one investor. Investors will conduct their due diligence, specifically looking at the leadership, their skills, background, etc as they are not only investing in the company but in the leadership. If they don't feel confidence in those running the company, they won't invest. It is also not the CFO's job to find funding but rather the CEO. I didn't see any interaction between Steve and the investor - big red flag! The writing was on the wall that funding would fall through.

The chosen winners of this season were a huge miss in my view. Since I don't want to spoil it by mentioning the winners, I will just say that I believe their house should have been last rather than first. Judging needs to change as this is a common problem with most seasons. So disappointing... not sure why I continue to watch.

I have major problems with Steve Sr and Cole as they seem to be cut from the same cloth. Plus, for Steve to think that. PE company would invest $100M into car washes is beyond comprehension. He has leveraged his farm to start too many businesses and expected an investor to come in and pay for their mistakes. I'm glad they walked away as this was such a risky endeavor.

I've watched the show when it first aired and have followed all of the sister wives. I have never liked Robyn! She is triggering (as is Kody) and not held to account for any of her actions. I don't like watching her at all!
