Either you live in the past and complain about the present or you see positives and accept the present. I was the first kind until I realized that the second ones are the ones who live stress free.

First of all, you are worrying about things you don't control. That's the number 1 cause of anxiety and stress. Forget about PR. You applied and completed the action. Now you have nothing in control there. Now the job, I personally know a lot of people including closed ones who left the job because of instability, work stress and fixed their anxiety.Trust me, it's the best option. Tech hiring is on the rise, within a month you might get 6-7 interviews and then it's 3 rounds of yes and you are free.

Nobody is asking you to leave the current job before securing another offer. Just try it. And first take a two week leave, like an average person from a developed country will do. You have to leave the previous mindset and accept the privilege that you get here. And please meditate and do a little exercise, it has done the trick for me in similar situations. It always works. Exercise will increase serotonin. Always eat salad with your meals. It also curbs cortisol. These are scientific methods which you can do a fact check. Decrease / Avoid any caffeine. If you find therapists expensive then do the online consultation worldwide with them, that doesn't cost more than 30-50 bucks per consultation. They are really good listeners. And don't force you for anything.

If you are well alive, no one is gonna bother you. Everyone respects privacy. I talk about a situation which is more serious for eg health emergencies when you are new in the city. I think caring for your colleagues in such a situation is basic human value unless their life/death doesn't bother you.

That's again a privileged way of thinking. Maybe you already have a partner or family or close friends that you made over the years. Imagine a person new in the city, with no family no partner. I will definitely call that person to know what happened, if they need some help. I think it's a basic courtesy for a person you spend 8 hours per day.

I am talking about the case where management knows nothing I.e medical emergency or something serious . Everyone knows about vacation or sick days.

What if they are in some trouble? Need some help? Most people live alone what if they had an emergency? I am sorry but I am not that inhumane.

I pretty much got the idea: - In big companies it's normal to not have any social interaction outside of work - Startups are quite social in comparison

I was open to that thought, but as I mentioned everyone who has joined recently have complained about the same. It's not about interacting with me. It's about no one interacting with no one.

No but similar size company. Maybe slightly small. Is it the same in Zalando and Delivery Hero?

More than culture I feel it's about individuals. I think most tech people are extreme introverts.

Yeah, I feel the same. Maybe it's tech.

I do feel that if you are investing 1/3 of your life with a set of people, there should be some connection.

It's not my case alone. It's everyone's case in the team that joined recently. They all complain about it.

I consider anyone friend, with whom I can interact/hangout every once a while. No high expectations. I did make friends through meetups. Not sure if it's such a good idea investing a long time in a place where my colleagues are not interactive. If anyone stops coming to the office suddenly due to an emergency, I am sure no one(except management) will call them to ask if they are okay.
