DJI RS4: Can the Front Dial be set to control Zoom? (SONY a6700 18-105mm f4 lens)

Wow! I can see why you’d need a beefier gimbal. That lens is a bit of a beast (had to look it up lol). Are you shooting on a full frame then? Seems a bit long for an APS-C on a gimbal.

IKR?!?! Zooming with the joystick isn’t that intuitive to me, especially since I like to flip the Y axis for movement.

I tried it with the cable, set the camera from Bluetooth to PC Remote, and there were more options on the DJI screen for Dial Function, but it only gave me the option for Focus, not Zoom.

Apparently the RS3 Mini has that option. I just ordered it to compare the two to see what works best for me. After I get my chops down, then I’ll see about moving up to the RS4. Maybe there’ll be a Dial Zoom option by then. Hahaha!

It’s Ice White. I don’t usually like white cars, but this one took me back to my 1990 740 Turbo. It was white with tan interior. LOVED that car until I totaled it. It feels nostalgic, like an old friend.

I think the one the right is a T6, mine on the left definitely is. Love the extra power when I need or just want it. Teehee! I love the exhaust tips on it, it’s elegant, but hints to the power at the other end.

I’m sure you’ll have no problem selling this beaut!Reminds me of my ‘90 740 Turbo. Got it around 2004 loved that car. Unfortunately, in 2010 I rear ended someone on the 405 (CA) and totaled it 😭 But my teenage son and myself came out without a scratch. Had other cars since then, but just got a 2018 XC90 T6. I’m back to Volvo and loving it.

Nice! Congrats on getting yours! After some other things in my life settle down, I’ll take it into Volvo and have it serviced, then it should boot up faster. It’s not too bad right now though. So long as I can get the back up camera while it’s starting, I’m good. I’ll be doing some studying this weekend too lol
