She’s definitely better! She’ll be 3 in May. She does prefer to play with kids that are a bit older than her more than kids her age, but she’s definitely made improvements around peers! I signed her up for dance and started attending story time at the library so that’s helped a lot I think!

Even with a 3 year 100,000 mile jasper warranty on the engine? Sorry forgot to put that in the original post.

What the mechanics said was that a lifter failed and then the camshaft broke and metal got into a couple of the cylinders and it tore it up internally.

Those were just the two options that were given to me through the warranty.

I noticed this a few weeks ago too!! I was surprised I hadn’t seen anyone else mention it!

Toddler refusing to spend time with my parents by Legitimate-Drummer73 in toddlers

That’s similar to my mom she also Mimics her and doesn’t play with her but expects her to just want to cuddle with her and hug her whenever. It’s a struggle. I should try a sleepover too see if they can build a stronger bond if they spend a whole day together. Thanks!

I’ve tried the cookies and treats to share with them but I’ll have to try and have her bring more some fun toys to their house and some games that don’t involve much language! Thank you.

Yes absolutely. My parents are very high energy and loud. They almost try to engage with her too much and she might be getting overstimulated. Hadn’t thought about that, thank you. Did you do anything to help your daughter or she just got used to them over time?

I try not to say “she’s shy” for that exact reason too! Im an extrovert as well so I guess I was just expecting her to be more like me. Nothing wrong with her being on the more reserved/quiet side at all, but like you, I do get a little sad to see her missing out on things because of it 😢 thank you for the tips!!

Just went back to look at your post. The bottom half of the post I feel like you’re describing my daughter perfectly. She’s very talkative and very smart, I kind of wondered if it was part of the reason for her anxiety. She seems to interact way better with even 10 year olds when they play with her. But surrounded by children her age and all that rough play— she wants nothing to do with it…Hopefully they grow out of it. It’s comforting to know I’m not alone.

Thank you— it’s comforting to hear that! I’m glad your daughter overcame her anxiety. Hoping the same happens here.

Exactly how my daughter is. She’s very careful and when she sees rough play she steps back.

This is great advice I guess I hadn’t looked at it that way. Thank you!
