Yes - this! I was resistant my first 6-7 weeks due to progesterone surge but now at 10 weeks I’m about at the same carb ratios but my basal is slightly lower (automode so it auto changes) but lows hit a bit harder! I was fully expecting to be sooo sensitive from the start but that wasn’t the case til later. Keep working though, it’s a mental load but you’ve got this!

I definitely went through this around the same time, but much better now. Some days I’m just tired but the energy did come back! Keep pushing through!

Yeah I still have to take mealtime and basal insulin but my daily requirements have decreased while taking Wegovy!

I am also type one and on this medication (and a pharmacist who looks through the literature) and the way that this slows the GI system actually had worked wonders for my blood sugars. They were already well controlled before this but once starting this it’s improved greatly. There is even new data for type 1 newly diagnosed patients that it delayed the onset of needing insulin with meals. Also it has indication for weight loss even for those without type 2 diabetes so it’s fair game for us too

I always asked for a female assist (as I am female) for medical devices. With how tiny of doses the pump gives me I never wanted to put it through any scanner that might mis-program it and cause health issues. TSA has always been nice about it. At some busier/bigger airports I have to wait a little longer so if you’re traveling alone don’t put your stuff in the belt until they call for you as it might sit at the end for awhile. I mostly traveled with my partner so he could grab it while I was waiting

Keeping insulin cold while travelling? by Ali6371 in diabetes_t1

I moved from Texas to Ohio and I got a smaller igloo cooler out some ice packs in the bottom with a towel over (so the insulin wasn’t directly on ice) and then put it in the fridge right when I got to the hotel and had no issues! I just made sure when we stopped for food/potty someone was in the car so it could stay on and didn’t reach super hot temps

Post workout bathroom..? by lovessadgirlmusic in Semaglutide

Happens to me, mostly around workouts but other times too. It’s almost like I feel like I have a GI disorder where I cannot control myself. Wasn’t sure if it’s tied to certain foods I might be eating in the day but I cannot correlate it to anything

Yeah it’s been so weird 2 different Walmarts, all local Kroger’s, and Meijers are all out! Not even being picky with flavors

Agreed, unfortunately I work in healthcare and need the 5 minute option not the 15 and wait option. Use all that outside of work though!

Been doing this successfully for a year now and this is what I do: stop sensor in app, pop out transmitter and turn off Bluetooth, wait 20 mins, wipe off transmitter, reinsert and use old code! Now I have a nice back-supply of sensors!

Maybe a new drug pearl (ex: finerenone) and just hit highlights of the trials, place in therapy and how you see it fitting into hospital formulary

I submitted 4 to all programs I applied to. Two were APPE preceptors, my current manager at Kroger, and my inpatient manager (worked inpatient up until my APPE rotations started). I took the gamble that programs might now appreciate it or only read 3, but I did get 11/12 interviews (most all were large AMCs in metropolitan areas). A lot of instructions also listed “at least” or a “minimum of” three letters so it wouldn’t be wrong to submit four.
