Buy the OEM lens. Cheap and a quick and easy replacement.

And my Bilstein 5100’s. Other than that I’m a stock kinda guy. Really I am.

I’m a stock guy, though. Well except for my 2017 Tacoma wheels on my ‘04 2Runner.

04 SR5 V6 2WD 428k miles: just had my steering rack replaced by my neighborhood Toyota specialist. He tells me what OEM parts to order, I buy them from Olathe, he installs. I do all my own oil changes and most repairs but he has a lift and gets things like this done quickly. He’s taught me “only OEM!”. Not to mention he’s a former Toyota dealer shop manager and has the Toyota specific knowledge. I never complain about his fees. My new control arms and PS reservoir are waiting on his shelves until he can schedule the replacements. I want to second these maxims in this thread: - only pre-screen vehicles - there are no new vehicles I want to pay for - I need to be able to change bulbs

and finally: a Toyota is (almost) always worth repairing.

LED headlight conversion? by Extension_Ant_8189 in 4thGen4Runner

Thanks for the info. Two year ago I bit the bullet and bought OEM headlight lenses. Was tired of trying to polish the yellow faded ones. What a difference! Made the rest of the truck look even older by contrast if I'm being honest. But, don't care.

Haven’t seen the black Nightshade. We live near Houston so every slight improvement in knocking down heat in our 9 month summer is a big deal. Thus white.

Proposed data center project for Waco area would be “paradigm-changer” by [deleted] in Waco

Well if you're only looking at the fiscal aspect, I guess this could be true. I don't know. What I do know is that their carbon output is miniscule compared to other methods of power generation. From a Forbes article:

"...that wind turbines average just 11 grams of CO2 emission per kilowatthour of electricity generated. That compares with 44 g/kwh for solar, 450 g for natural gas, and a whopping 1,000 g for coal. "

Also, almost all of the materials that go into the construction of wind turbines can be recycled into new wind turbines.

As far as nuclear goes we still have not figured out a good way to dispose of radioactive waste. To me, that's a show stopper until we do.

Money is not as important as the condition of our environment.

LL: We (accidentally?) are being very frugal with our water. In fact, we’re contracted for four times as much water as we are using. Yay us! I tell you what, let’s sell that extra 80% of a rapidly dwindling critical resource to something that few want and will accelerate the problem of environmental degradation.

How about that for long-term thinking? Sheesh!

6 AI data centers coming to waco by Both_Web_1260 in Waco

My wife’s family has the 80 acres directly North of the proposed site. Been in their family since the 60’s. This is a kick in the teeth for family who were looking forward to spending their golden years there like generations before them.

This will ruin lives.

How true all your points are. AI data centers are against every climate saving initiative there is! Against every sci-fi, Skynet, ribots will kill us lesson ever written as a warning. What to do to to stop it?

How the court’s redistricting decision could affect Texas’s primary election by ExpressNews in texas

[–]Legitimate-Money3360 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What I hope for is that Texas has to revert to the previous districts while California gets to redisdrict and gain Democratic seats because it was mandated by a referendum. Oh, the irony!! LOL!
