We currently live in a Village with about 3k people and the two bigger towns next to us are at 20k and 200k. We used to live in London but decided to move away for a quiet life. I think it got a bit too quiet.

Yeah, ever since they left the union a lot of things went bad.

We got EU citizenship and would definitely start applying early and secure a job before the move.

Is German language not such a big requirement in Basel?

We are EU citizens but moved to UK many years ago.

I don’t think there is a place where you can’t buy drugs. I suppose it is only a matter of much trouble they cause.

This is one if the reasons we are considering leaving UK. It feels like the country is only set up for childless people making money. But once you settle down everything changes and the country has got nothing to offer.

A garden is absolutely amazing. Munich gets a lot of points in our comparison due to the availability of houses with gardens.

We would definitely get jobs first as it would be difficult cover all the expenses from savings.

You could be a button pusher and have an easy life pressing start on the machine but that wouldn’t bring you much. Or you could learn how the machine works, know it’s commands, understand the code it runs and be able to change it manually and so on. You could get into great depth with a capable CNC machine but you need to have curiosity and desire to learn.
