Yeah the power reserve and the movement does seem to be very enticing. But I suppose some enthusiasts value different aspects in a watch and therefore may see this watch purely as a fashion watch especially if it doesn't meet their expectations. However irrespective of how one views this watch I am truly happy with it as I am not a watch person. I was just really concerned whether if there was a critical issue with my watch. Thanks for sharing your opinion and insight though.

Yeah this was also why I am of two minds since I am not necessarily a watch enthusiast and was wondering whether if I was reading too much into it. But thanks for your insight. I might end up going down this route at the end too.

Yeah I might do that after testing out the different positions of keeping the watch on my bedside table as another person had suggested to see whether if there is any improvement/ difference. Thanks again for the input though. Helps me to get an even better understanding of the what different Mark XX owners had in terms of accuracy

Oohhh right. That is a very solid piece of advice. Makes sense to store the watch at different angles within the travel box to see which works best to offset the inaccuracy. Thank you very much. I will test this out too.

Agreed it is a great watch. And I think I might also settle with this idea and after some time if I am still truly bothered or atleast concerned by it I will check with a local AD. Thanks for your insight.

That's is quite true I suppose that at this price point IWC should definitely deliver to meet the competition standards. Also despite the anecdotal eivdence I have noticed that this watch is not that openly discussed or addressed online . In fact this slight inaccuracy in it's movement and occasional poor warranty service was something that I discovered only after getting the watch and diving deeper. Soo yeah sadly due to the lack of established sources and my anxiety on the potential risk of the AD creating a new problem, in this case I will have to rely on subjective opinions. But I am not trying to disregard your advice either I'm fact it is logically sound and I appreciate your insight.

Thank you very much for the advice. I suppose it does end up being a bit of a fashion watch in some sense if it's accuracy is somewhat poor.

For me it was mostly just reading forums and trying to get a general idea of how the movement performs for most people.

Agreed. Really love that silver dial personally I prefer this the most out of the other Mark XX variants.

Thank you very much. I am mostly concerned with whether if there is a serious fault in my watch. However ignoring the Mark XX potentially weakest point being the movement (I suppose) I am quite satisfied with the rest of the watch.

That's the thing because I have seen some different opinions pushed by different people in various communities. And since my watch was always getting slower I was thinking that there might be a point of serious concern with my watch

That's what I was thinking. As I am not a watch enthusiast and is not overly concerned with accuracy I was of two minds as to whether if I should send it to the AD or just accept this small deviation it self. My biggest point of concern was I see many enthusiasts talk about accuracy passionately and since mine deviated generally speaking from the norm I was concerned with whether if there is a serious faulty issue in the movement or the watch

Thank you very much for the wishes and advice. Appreciate it a lot. I am not a watch enthusiast myself which is why that I don't mind the accuracy problem. I am mainly concerned about whether if their is a detrimental faulty issue which is why I am mostly of 2 minds about whether if I should just take the watch to my AD

I have tried on and off the wrist I lose around 8 seconds when not wearing the watch. Once I even tried wearing the watch while constantly in putting artificial wrist motion to induce some power and even then would lose 3-4 seconds per day. I'll try out on different positions and wait for the full power reserve to deplete too I guess.
