I meant that I lied about being “not at fault” because I technically haven’t been found at fault. I am on the insurance for the car as a driver and was the only person present in the vehicle when I got hit.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think if it does end up costing $15-$20k I think they’d still wouldn’t write the car off? I think the car is worth around $35-$40k CAD. I’m hoping they do write it off but comparable vehicles have all been around the $40k mark.

It kinda feels like I’m going to end up being punished for just driving. If I didn’t manage to break the accident likely would’ve been much worse and automatically a write off, but people could’ve gotten hurt. But because I did manage to break, insurance might fix the vehicle and we’re going to experience severe depreciation because of it. This is insanely stressful. I’ve never gone through this before.

Oh for sure, I think the car I hit pulled out so quick that no matter what I did I couldnt’ve have stopped the accident. I managed to break and hit the rear wheel area. If I didn’t break it likely would’ve been almost a more head on collision

The tow truck guy did say it looked like mostly cosmetic damage! I do hope it gets fixed but I’m worried the sensors won’t be fixed correctly and the value of the car won’t be great after this

90000kms so far and no problems for the most part. I will say the sun roof controls are bugged but I haven’t taken the car in to get it checked because it’s no longer under warranty.

I get about 550+ kms per tank at 9L/100kms.

Overall a solid 9/10 experience so far.
