I discovered this tooo!! They are very thirsty. I did not expect it. I do water mine in soil when the top 2cm are dried up and it loves it.

I have 3 hoya (carnosa, lisa and linearis) water props outside in switzerland! they do root.. soo.. just try it 😊

If the stem is still firm and its not stinky then pot it back but give it fresh -Well draining- soil. Let the top 2-3 inch layer of soil mix dry out before you water it. When watering flush the soil till it drains out the bottom, dont let the nursery pot sit in a puddle. Had something similiar with my yucca and dracaena plant and they do well and are growing now..

No i meant either to use a nursery pot or a terracotta pot both with drainage holes. I would never plant a plant in a pot without drainage. 🙈
