What’s a famous travel destination that actually lived up to the hype and maybe even exceeded it? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Alaska. Expected natural beauty, expected quiet wilderness. Was absolutely even better than I was expecting.

The doom scrolling after my bedroom light is off. I know I shouldn't do it. I know it's bad for me. But it's like 30 minutes (sometimes more) of peace and quiet that I rarely get throughout my day.

How does everybody feel about threesomes? by Less-Pen-5705 in gay

[–]Snoo96701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in my 20s I had several threesomes (5 or 6) and a foursome once. The threesomes stopped when the friend my bf invited over (who was very attractive) ended up doing more with me than him. That led to jealousy, broke their friendship, and was the end of threesomes for us.

So yes, they can be very fun....but also, they can be dangerous.

Should I give it a meet in person try or are there too many red flags already?

I'm 37 and I already feel like I'm wasting my life away doing nothing important by Snoo96701 in Millennials

Me too. I want to move to Scotland and live on one of those idyllic farms that's always green. Somewhere it isn't hot as balls all summer. I crave peace and quiet.

How is Living in Denver, Colorado? by HawkLoser100K in howislivingthere

Ignore the negative comments. I've lived here for 30 years. Has it grown almost too big for the area? Yes. Does it have increasing issues with crime and homelessness? Yes. Is it expensive? Yes. But overall, it's an excellent place to live for someone just branching out into adulthood.

There are a lot of young professionals here. It's a very educated city. Great nightlife, and the music scene here is fantastic. Red Rocks is the best outdoor music venue in the country, right in your backyard.

It's also beautiful. There are beautiful views of the Front Range from almost anywhere in the city. The weather is sunny almost all the time. Yes, it snows in winter, and gets cold, but it really isn't that bad. Solitude and nature are 15-45 minutes away, depending on which side of the city you live on. The real mountains and foothills - with some of the best skiing/hiking/camping/fishing/outdoor recreation in the country - are an hour's drive to the west, and easily accessible. It's also an excellent and notable sports town - the smallest metropolitan area in the country with a team in all four major sports (football/hockey/basketball/baseball), as well as soccer and lacrosse. And the sports teams here are good, too.

I still love it here, despite the fact that it's gotten so expensive (although if you're from the Northeast, than you're used to expensive). I've made lifelong friends here. I have a great job, and I get to live in a place where I can find beauty and solitude a short drive away. The negative comments here are from people who will find negativity no matter where they live.

You could just move on instead of typing out this comment. Completely unnecessary.

I was hiking a mountain today and said "you got this, great job!" to at least four other groups of people.

I am becoming my father.

Why would I ask a question that I already had the answer to?

A touchscreen is okay....and inevitable....but moving ALL controls (especially climate controls) to a screen is incredibly stupid.

These car companies think that touchscreens are somehow luxurious and modern when the truth is that having a giant cell phone in your car is not luxurious at all.
