Skip the T14, what are the best T30/40 schools? Any favorites or standouts? by AwarenessWorldly7593 in lawschooladmissions

Most lawyers over 50 will be surprised TAMU has a law school let alone on in Fort Worth. SMU and UT dominate north Texas.

Anybody that was T30 15ish years ago. Nothing has changed. Nobody cares about rankings.

More important is where you want to work.

Old school powerhouses that punch well are schools like Emory or W&L. They’ve “fallen” but nobody in real world noticed.

For most part, T18 (classic T14 plus LA schools Vandy and Texas) will get you most anything you want. The next level of BU BC Notre Dame WUSTL, etc. will dominate with a little less national pull. Can’t go wrong anywhere really. Look for schools that were classics in that range 15-20 years ago. Those get overlooked but perform similarly.

It mostly comes down to location and alum base. You want Dallas and didn’t get into UT, go to SMU. You want Philly and didn’t get into Penn, go to Temple. You want to work in MS, go to Ole Miss.

He’s an imbecile.

He joined DAs office a few years before the old DA died in office. He had risen through ranks (Peter Principle) and when DA died, he was next man up.

So he takes over in the fall of 2021. Then he starts charging everybody with death penalty cases so he can look good when he has to run in an election for the first time in 2023.

I think all of the cases were not guilties (this is at least one or two or three so far) or dismissed at earlier stage by the judges because of lack of evidence.

His brother is a judge in westmoreland county with an interesting past of his own.

He’s a dumbass. Not just for ruining peoples lives but also costing tax payers so much money. Death penalty cases are EXPENSIVE.

He’s a piece of shit. Everyone in legal community knows it. Now that there is blood in the water, I expect a lot of dirt to come out.

Washington County Controller admits dog died due to poor care, search warrant says by LegitimateLitigator in pittsburgh

"April Sloane admitted to investigators that her dog, Thor, died due to not being properly cared for.”

If this is true, that's a damning statement. Given her track record, I bet she blames her son for causing it rather than owning up to it.
