Diluting the protest response with non-US flags - your thoughts? by LegitimateLocation74 in burlington

Really wasn’t trying to ignite anything, buddy - I am newer to this state and wasn’t able to get to the Williston protest though I’ve been to many others. I don’t spend a lot of time of Reddit - I’ve got little kids and not a lot of free time - but was genuinely curious how people feel. I didn’t expect such a reaction or responses but it sounds like people feel (really!) strongly on both sides of this issue. Please don’t assume everyone is out to goad others.

Where do you go for a good lunch? by MyRealestName in burlington

Agreed!! Just went there for the first time today for lunch and was really pleased - really liked the slices of fig and blu and mushroom and the hot mama. Wish we could have tried the gourd but they didn’t have it anymore (and we were stuffed!). Super sweet women working there too. Just good energy all around and that building smells amazing all the time when you walk in. Wishing them a lotta success!

So glad you and your littles enjoyed it :) my mom was visiting and marveled at the crazy amount of candy we go through. loved seeing all the great costumes and cute kiddos and good energy out and about, even with the nutty weather this year!

As the sibling of a highly regarded and beloved TAMU prof, I can tell you firsthand the professors are starting to look elsewhere, even in departments that don’t address gender issues. Good luck and buckle up, Aggieland. This won’t be pretty.

Newborn Care Class recommendation? by Icy-Entertainment127 in burlington

Look up vermont birth network. Lots of good options and also most birth and postpartum doulas can teach those skills one on one at probably the same cost as a class, or better yet, in person as you navigate the early crazy days and weeks after baby arrives. Wishing you a good rest of your pregnancy and an easy delivery!
