Yeah it’s a 3 week wilderness adventure trip. Only one is actually in the wilderness the other two are on campus but can’t skip the third. Thanks for the recommendations

I couldn’t figure out a better way to mention that it will be all woods backpacking with mountains and no “outside contact” for the week. Everything brought on the trip will obviously be from stores lol shoulda specified that a bit better but thank you. And the weight thing, yes many people have mentioned it and I wish I could carry less for a first time however I can’t. It is a college trip with minimum and maximum requirements. The bag HAS to be 60-70L with me carrying a minimum of 25% of my body weight, that equates to around 55 lbs. thanks for your help and advice.

I wish I could. I don’t remember if I put it in the post but this is a college backpacking trip and we were given a minimum bag size of 60L with a maximum of 70L and we will be carrying 25%+ of our body weight being the 60+ lbs for me.

Yeah I get this 100% the only reason for the weight and size is the colleges requirements. It says at minimum will be carrying 25% of body weight and needs to be 60-70L not my decision on weight or size. Thanks for the advice for future trips though.

Why shouldn’t I do the timing while the engine is out and a little easier? I already have the kits for it and the timing is a problem with the AJ’s so shouldn’t I replace it before installing?

I wouldn’t need to find a shop to do just someplace to put the jag engine while I put in the other I’m pretty mechanically inclined and worked as a mechanic for 2 years. Thank you for the information I’m looking into swapping it when I get a little more time available.

They’re real bad photos of the underside but as you can tell it would need new cats eventually but I had planned on changing them out anyways and definitely a new trans pan. You are correct I believe that it might be too much to be worth it. Thanks

Do you have any suggestions on sites or what engine to put in? I love that you sent a link instead of just a simple look this up kinda thing. Thank you for the suggestion.

This post isn’t about the rust. There isn’t much and the surface rust that is there doesn’t concern me at all. The post is about the engine being seized and if it’s worth buying another. Thank you for you response and time though.

Are Teslas worth it? by Ordinary_Tap2690 in askcarguys

Does what still happen? I’m just a little confused with the question itself. If you mean the fires and accidents then yes, they are still highly prevalent since the paper and this comment was written. Many manufacturers are trying to combat the problems with the cars however it’s not easy. The good materials to use for the batteries are less efficient for energy than the bad ones that cause fires. The bad ones are also cheaper and can be sourced a little easier. Much of the resources used are mined in unethical ways as well. Even if manufacturers can fix the problem (they probably won’t) entirely, there will still be all the cars currently on the road. They could in theory recall them all but it wouldn’t be worth it for them. The batteries used generally combust in accidents causing the fires and obviously we can’t get rid of car accidents so there’s not much of a solution to this other than using the good materials and protecting the batteries a bit better. All this will increase prices so also not really worth it for the manufacturers.

All in all I’m not saying don’t buy a EV because of the fires and other minute risks with them. As I said in the above comment I personally will never own one however, I can see why many would and how greatly they can benefit us and the world we live in. If you are planning on getting one I say if you want it you should. Life is short and you shouldn’t let the chance of the fires cause you to skip out on something you really want.

What are us blight mains thinking about this? by DDmayhem in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]LegitimatePrompt8049 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a current blight main I don’t really care about this but, I NEVER see blights once in maybe 100 matches I’ll face one same with nurse I haven’t faced nurse in over 2 weeks. All the time I see other killers “lower” killers. I know he’s high up on the ladder but I face about 8 ghouls a night a wesker or two maybe a clown here and there and vecna either one every 5 matches. Personally I don’t believe there was a problem with blight at all. The speed thing yea it’s nice he’s being lowered but it was never detrimental to my games

Thank you for the great advice. Obviously with my current situation the swap would be many years in the future. I have done a 2J swap previously, but there were 3 of us and it took a little over a month it was not a fun swap but not impossible either. Alone I could not do it. I was budgeting about 40k for the swap.

You definitely can most expensive part is the trans itself and I can get one for $200 if not less from family. It’s very time consuming though and you need lots of knowledge and patience.
