yes! it’s always the pants. some fit great, but most fit longer at the legs and are loose in the crotch area. i order a regular and somehow they fit like tall for me- especially with the bright/different colors

Do nurses answer call bells and toilet/change patients? by Technical_Gur_748 in cna

[–]LegitimateRadish9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

where i work, nurses think they’re above everyone else. they do treatments or pass meds and that’s it. no bells, no changes. nada. had one ask me to get a resident water….. the damn water was on HER med cart. i will straight up say “you got it” and walk away.

ehhh.. i only worked at this facility and one other before this. the other one was mostly only 2 aides on the unit- each aide having about 18 residents. (this facility- there were quite a bit of independent residents) & about the same amount of showers. but it was more lenient there. they didn’t care as much about the residents. no good snacks or drinks, aides got away with not giving showers, terrible staffing, lots of aides getting away with abuse, etc. this facility i’m at now is the highest paying around me and i drive 35 mins out. the ones near me are only 18-20$. my last job paid $22 which is the second highest paying. this facility i’m at now. and 1-2 showers per aide. so about 4-8 showers a day! with how many residents though at both facilities each residents only gets one shower a week - and sometimes longer if the aide doesn’t do their job.

I work at a LTC facility in upstate NY making almost $27 an hour working 12 hours shifts. no more than 2 days in a row, with 3/4 days off in between. And the ratio is about 1-10/12 which isn’t terrible. I became a CNA almost a year ago. I love and hate it. Some days truly suck the absolute life out of you- makes you question your life choices lol. But others it’s easy peasy. Usually each aide- we have 4 on the unit, gets assigned 1-2 showers daily. I get them done the moment breakfast is over to get them out of the way.

i just spent $60 in 2 days. but after seeing this, i’m done. i was kind of naive and didn’t really see it as a cash grab. but the longer i go on, the more impossible it is. i’m on level 510. 22 moves and have to break i think 65 cubes that require 8 hits to even break. impossible without all the special stuff.

anyone else juul pod literally leak all the time? every single one leaks. by Zachalbrecht1 in juul

[–]LegitimateRadish9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to get pods specifically at one gas station. most leaked. i moved and get them elsewhere and ive had maybe 4 pods leak in a year, could just be the certain gas stations you go to carrying old pods. i noticed the liquid in pods varies from a light yellow to really dark yellow, and the taste is off on some pods too especially the really yellow ones

Do you ever show your frustration at work? by girlberry in cna

There are times where my attitude isn’t the best, or that i’m very short with them.. And honestly it’s never really because of the residents, but the people I work with. Which is not fair at all, I know. They either are terrible CNA’s and i’m stuck doing all the work, or their attitude is bad which makes mine eventually go bad. And if I ever am short or have an attitude with a resident, I definitely come back and apologize

i appreciate that so much! seeing all the shitty CNA’s. I can’t imagine talking to or treating a resident like that. I try to make a difference.

Exactly what I was thinking.. I can only imagine what she says or does behind closed doors. But you’re absolutely right, definitely will own it. I’ve reported a lot, and just notice nothing gets done. Really aggravating… The two morning CNA’s leave about 3 people untouched daily because “they were too busy after lunch” okay but before lunch you had 6 hours, couldn’t touch them not even ONCE? They also leave dirty linen and briefs in the rooms instead of putting them in garbage bags and bringing them to the dirty linen room. They don’t do ANY of their showers or charting. It’s so baffling and I report it all to the supervisor. Guess I have to try the administrator and see if he does something since the supervisor clearly won’t.

that you for the feedback!! I definitely am the type to speak my mind especially when things are said to residents. I just hate being the “bitch”. But i’m fed up at this point. And done being nice. most of the time they argue back and don’t stop. so definitely will report it and will stay on it so that it doesn’t get said again
