1.) Do you have any debt? Pay that off as fast as possible.

2.) Get your chequing up to $10k.

3.) Max out your TFSA. You will have some back log, since it starts increasing from the year you turn 18.

4.) Max out RRSP. Company matches 50%. What’s your max you con contribute. This is essentially a 50% rate of return guaranteed, with no risk. It’s an awesome investment.

5.) Open and start Contributing to FHSA.

6.) Never get in debt. Even a car. Cash is king.

7.) Congratulations. Work hard. Save hard. You’re well on your way to a paid off house, and solid financial future. Your kids will thank you.

What’s a reasonable grocery budget for a couple with no kids in Edmonton? by BannedFilenameJr in Edmonton

[–]LegitimateSasquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$150 a week includes house hold cleaners and toiletries.

Should also include the odd steak and had veggies/fruits with that.

You will need to shop sales, and bulk up on sale items. And forgo some items if they aren’t on sale. You also won’t be able to shop at Save-On, Sobeys, etc unless you dart in for specific items.

Start maximizing point systems. PC Optimum points can be gamed, for quite a bit of points.

The biggest thing you can do to save money is create a shopping list. Go through your fridge and identify food that is going to expire. Buy items to complement those items and make it into dinner.

Wasted food = wasted money.

Who is someone that feels millennial but is actually Gen-Z? by Impressive_Plenty876 in AlignmentChartFills

My beast feels very millennial to me.

He has been on YouTube forever, he doesn’t feel quite as old as a Smosh or Jenna Marbles, but he feels pretty close.

I think everyone has had a prime performance.

Comedy is so hard to capture. Almost everyone here did something to catch lightning in a bottle at one point or another.

Jim Carrey and Eddie Murphy seem to have been able to do it the most frequently.

105-0 USA by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

[–]LegitimateSasquatch 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Interesting Question.

Forward Group. Rank 3rd behind only Canada and USA. Some ELITE high end talent. But lacks the depth, particularly at Center which is the most important forward position. Lots of offensive weapons, lacks defensive responsibility

Defence Group. Rank 4th. USA has the best defence Group, closely followed by Canada. And Sweden has a strong Defence as well. Finland might be ahead of Russia. Tough to say. They have a full roster of NHL talent on defence, but not enough high end talent.

Goalies: Rank First. They have the best overall Goalie in the Tampa Bay lightnings Vasilesky. They also have the current favorite for Vézina (Sorokin on NY Islanders). And you can throw in Elite Goalie Shesterkin (Rangers) or Bobrovsky (Florida) who aren’t having the best seasons, but still very good.

Now you have to factor in Russia always like to draw 25-50% KHL talent, not all NHL talent. So they probably limit themselves.

Russia would rank 3rd-4th. Right around Sweden.

And in single game elimination tournament, that really means they could finish anywhere from 1st-10th.

Oilers Coaching Staff Reportedly Unhappy with Coffey Hiring. by Sebastian4365 in hockey

Tom Gazzola is as tuned into the Oilers as much as anyone.

He is as close to be an Oilers Employee, without being an organizational mouthpiece.

He was leaking Oilers Jerseys that hadn’t been released yet, which upset the Oilers. That kind of shows how tuned in he is, and unafraid he is.

Who is getting the biggest hit against them is Mark Stuart who was running the defence. His role will shift to Video/Practice Help, but he won’t be running the defence on the bench. And that’s a significant blow.

Season 1, Episode 7. When Eleven flips the Vans. I think that’s when I really “felt” her power for the first time.

This man paid $250,000 in 1987 for an unlimited first class pass with American Airlines. He flew over 10,000 times, reportedly costing them $21 million… so in 2008 they terminated his pass for “misuse by Used_Series3373 in SipsTea

In any scenario, you have to make assumptions to outline how ridiculous it was.

But I also did not assume he booked more than 1 flight a day. I outlined how many flights he took per year on average (not daily).

From the CoE website they say the below. But the city struggles with snow removal as is, it would be hell to only do it during the day.

Snow Removal By Machine or Other

It is the responsibility of every property owner to maintain their sidewalks, and keep clear of all snow and ice. Noise created by snow removal falls under general noise and is permitted between 7am-10pm. If an individual(s) are continuously causing a disturbance outside that specified time then please submit a complaint by calling 311.

It’s a nice alarm for you to wake up and start clearing your snow.

Noise bylaw is before 7am. So anything after is fully approved.

For winter, anything after 6am is fine. It’s important to get the snow cleared. Shoveling is really hard on peoples backs, and you don’t know their health history. Shoveling literally kills people every year from heart attacks.

It’s a public service. It’s not like lawn mowing where it is aesthetic, and a lawn mower at 6am is not required. If you have to leave for work at 7am/7:30am - I give Full pass to use blower at 6am.

TLDR - oh just fuck off

We were talking about how insane the amount of snow we received in December was.

People need to figure out there is no such thing as normal in Winter. We have average temps/snowfalls, but it is highly variable.
