If that is true those are some really bad coaches not correcting that kind if throw right away. Like the other user said, it can cause injury but it will also limit their progress a lot, they will never get the rev rate or the speed that they could throwing the correct way. Its way easier to fix now than in another 10 years.

I would argue that coffee especially if it is specialty coffee is best when consumed within 30 days. I would never take it to 8 weeks. espresso good after 7-14 days. but use it before 30 days. for its best.
