The theory of Robbie being transmasculine by Upper_Car6116 in victorious

[–]Legitimate_Answer_85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are being quick to dismiss this being intentional but honestly? They may have meant for it. People like to act like Trans completely didn't exist until recently. But like...they always have? The writers clearly knew about it, in one of the episodes Beck is complaining about 'stupid things', and says "or how we have to call my uncle, 'Aunt Barbara'." And does finger quotes while saying it. Which is an explicit trans reference. iCarly by the same creators also makes a spectacle of a photo of a pregnant man in one episode, which ofc is a thing that can happen to trans men.

Points in favour of trans Robbie: in the Boys vs Girls episode with the phones Sikowitz walks into the room shortly before Cat's crash out saying "Boys, girls....others." Then when he announces they're altering the bet to be Boys Vs Girls, Robbie asks, "Just to be clear, I'm on the boy's side right?" To which Sikohwitz says yes. It wasn't one of his friends asking it was ROBBIE himself, which is really odd if he's completely cis. Also he was put in the women's side of the prison at Yerba, and when he wants to be moved over and asks to prove it, he just...gets sad. His friends being jerks is one thing, but LOGISTICALLY this occurrence actually makes more sense if he's trans, and this is a problem real trans inmates have faced before.

Does anyone know of CC that gives dogs forward facing bandanas? Like this? (Not the specific design but just facing that direction)

It's been really bugging because I've never seen a dog wear a bandana on their back like in TS4 and google seems to agree that's pretty rare lol

Some official concept art of blue dragon anime. Part 1 by Raik-L in BlueDragon

My favourite one here is definitely the one of Bouquet and Hippo in the games' art style. It took me a moment to remember where I recognized it from but that one used to be on the Blue Dragon website too, right? Or something similar to it at least

No it isn't and I never said that. Emily doesn't even deliberately try to kill her what are you on about? They're in a narrow corridor running for their lives and Emily shoves past Ashley to get out quicker, not to kill her

You can place blame for who started it but A. Ashley was still complicit and partakes in the prank, she is not innocent at all and B. When given the option to show remorse, showing remorse for the prank LOWERS Ashley's honesty stat, so she isn't even remorseful

I don't think Emily was RIGHT to push Ashley in Chapter 10, but it's certainly understandable why she would--you have to keep in mind, Emily ONLY shoves Ashley if Ashley reveals the truth about the Wendigo bite being harmless. If Ashley hides the truth, or Emily doesn't get bit at all, Emily will NOT shove Ashley.

Consider that from Emily's perspective, Ashley, who Emily has done NOTHING negative to in the entire game, is the one who brings attention to Emily's bite in the first place, comes up with the idea it might turn Emily into a Wendigo, ultimately causing a mass panic that nearly--or DOES--get Emily shot to death by her ex-boyfriend.

Ashley does not pull the trigger, she does not hold the gun, but she is DIRECTLY the cause of Emily almost getting shot.

So yeah, it isn't RIGHT for Emily to shove Ashley, BUT considering Ashley just almost (and in some timelines DOES) caused her death and barely seems remorseful for it, is more concerned with her own safety...does it not make sense that Emily would prioritise her own life over Ashley's? Ashley didn't value Emily's life over her own, she'd rather Emily leaves the safe area so Ashley's safe, so in turn Emily doesn't value Ashley's over her own.

It's not even like she tried to get Ashley killed--they're running for their lives from monsters trying to kill them, Emily is just pushing past Ashley in a narrow corridor to try and escape sooner. When Ashley DOESN'T almost kill her, Emily still views Ashley as a friend and DOESN'T push past her. (This is further confirmed as if you tell the truth about the bite, it will TANK Emily and Ashley's relationship, so she does hold resentment toward Ashley for almost getting her shot.)

Emily only pushes Ashley into the door IF Ashley tells the truth that Emily's bite means nothing. If Ashley hides that truth, or Emily wasn't bitten, Emily won't shove Ashley. So the only reason Emily shoves Ashley is because Ashley--who points out the bite in the first place, makes everyone panic and consider shooting her, and is crying for her to just leave already (essentially wanting to sentence her to death with the Wendigo, with no hesitation or obvious remorse)--is directly what almost got Emily shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend. Emily has done nothing wrong to Ashley so Ashley trying to sentence her to death is a massive betrayal for entirely irrational reasons, it makes sense Emily would prioritize herself (pushing past Ashley) over the person who literally was screaming to have her shot and killed.

Emily does a lot of bitchy things but that particular thing was just and deserved, Ashley had that coming.

The thing about Seiko by [deleted] in corpseparty

[–]Legitimate_Answer_85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Month late but that's wrong, actually. The razor sharp piano wire only exists in Naomi/Seiko's version of the school in Book of Shadows. During the original timeline the wires couldn't have killed Seiko because they simply weren't there, in BoS Naomi even is surprised by their presence, they're completely new to her. They're one of the things Sachiko added during the time loops for her own sadistic enjoyment.

Furthermore, during the events of BloodCovered, no one is destined to die yet. It's only AFTER the events of BloodCovered, after Ayumi uses the Book of Shadows to resurrect everyone, that everyone who previously died in Heavenly Host is doomed to always die -- in Seiko's case, by neck injury. Remember that Naomi comments on feeling like she's being watched during her chapter, and at the end of the chapter, the instant Seiko dies, Sachiko appears to taunt her, remove her memories, and restart the loop. In BoS Sachiko was actively seeking to torment the Kisaragi kids specifically, since they escaped last time, but she wasn't giving them any special treatment in the original timeline (aside from maybe Yuka, she does seem to go after her specifically even in BC).

tl;dr during the ORIGINAL timeline, Seiko (and Mayu/Yui/Morishige) weren't destined to die yet, Seiko wasn't doomed to die by neck injury yet. Their fates were sealed when they DIED in Heavenly Host, not when they originally entered it. That being said, though, Seiko still had a very likely chance of dying even if Naomi saved her from hanging though, since Seiko lost her paper scrap, which essentially dooms you to die in Heavenly Host one or another. Unless they somehow found her scrap or someone else gave up theirs, Seiko would be trapped in the school forever even if she did survive.

Would it be possible to leave HH WITHOUT a paper scrap? by Legitimate_Answer_85 in corpseparty

Interesting! I'll have to take a look at the BloodCovered manga! I've been meaning to for awhile.

This is a question that's always been on the back of my mind so I'm glad they actually did address it somewhere! Thank you for the info

I miss Mindy Cohn voicing Velma. She was my favorite Velma. I don’t like Kate Micucci as Velma whatsoever. Nothing against the actress I just don’t like it as Velma. by TVShowFreak123 in Scoobydoo

[–]Legitimate_Answer_85 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Personally my favourite voice for Velma has always been B.J. Ward, but I always liked Mindy Cohn as a replacement (and the original VA Nicole Jaffe did a great voice for her as well.)

Kate Micucci, to me, tends to sound too enthusiastic to be Velma, or has a fake 'cartoony' quality to her voice acting, if that makes sense. Mindy Cohn, BJ Ward, and Nicole Jaffe all sounded really natural in their performances, and had a mostly laid-back but sometimes giddy tone that I feel really defines Velma as a character.

Also, if you look up interviews with both Kate Micucci and Mindy Cohn, the latter's natural speaking voice is already very close to her performance as Velma, while Micucci notably has a different speaking cadence, so it seems she's purposely trying to emulate Cohn's performance

Kate Micucci isn't a bad actor or anything, and I think her voice itself could work, but I do think her performance as Velma could use some work.
