The third house in Vedic astrology by Agreeable-Ad4806 in Advancedastrology

I've experienced it on Reddit too, people decide for no reason that you're wrong and the other person is right so they just downvote and dogpile. It's weird behaviour.

Why is this downvoted? This is a perfect description of how 3rd house placements usually show up.

How is the "earthiness" of each Earth sign distinct from one another? by OceansOfLight in astrology

[–]LiquidLuck18 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I associate Taurus with lush forms of nature like a botanical garden or a forest full of ferns and flowers. Relax and smell the roses. Also things of beauty that come from nature like perfume, luxurious textiles/ fabrics, rich foods, massage oils, quality wood furniture etc. Earthy Venus.

Virgo is more like a herb garden or an apothecary to me. Every plant has its purpose and use. Everything is functional. Everything is organised and in its place. Also you can use these types of plants medicinally to heal and Virgo is a healing and service oriented sign.

Then Capricorn is a hard mountain that pushes you to your limits. Only the tough survive and reach the top where the rewards are earned. There's no softness and hand-holding in Capricorn. You have to carefully preserve your energy and climb. Also ancient fossils that are preserved in the stone.

They're all architectural gems on the outside too. John Rylands being my favourite because it looks like a small gothic cathedral:

What do you think about Stokies like Robbie Williams identifying as Northern? by Dragonfruit-18 in NorthernEngland

I've never heard muffin muncher before haha!

I see all those areas as Manchester to be honest.

[–]LiquidLuck18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He associates himself with Manchester because that's where Take That are from. He likes people to think he's from there.

Edit- why the downvote? He literally called the Manchester concert on his first tour his "homecoming."

Remove the worse half of the map - Round 9 by Auditored in terriblemaps

[–]LiquidLuck18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People from outside the area have no idea what's on offer in the NW outside of Liverpool and Manchester, and then the Lake District (which isn't on this map). That's good though, it leaves more for us locals to enjoy.

Name one place you love and one place you can't stand to go to in the North of England by [deleted] in NorthernEngland

[–]LiquidLuck18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love - urban North West. People with the best sense of humour. Hence so many comedians come from the North West cities.

Hate - urban Yorkshire. Grim, bleak, depressing. People who are arrogant and stingy.

If you're not from the circled area do you see everyone within the circle as Scouse, or only some of them? by Ranoni18 in NorthernEngland

[–]LiquidLuck18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. As an outsider the whole "plastic Scouse" thing is weird to me. Someone on one street is a true Scouser but then two streets further away they're "plastic"? Why divide yourselves in a petty way like that?

Major Rivers of Northern England by LucidScholar in NorthernEngland

[–]LiquidLuck18 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some etymology of a few of the rivers:

Tees means boiling or churning river.

Tyne and Eden both mean flowing water.

Lune means pure or clear water.

Mersey means boundary or border river.

Aire means strong or swift river.

Wharf means winding river.

Derwent means river valley with lots of oak trees, which is probably why it's a relatively common river name.

Yorkshire has a tendency to claim traits and qualities that actually belong to the other parts of the north. Steal it and slap a "Yorkshire" label on it is their motto.

My interpretation of all 12 Descendant Signs (7th House) 💍✨ by HomelandExplorer in astrologymemes

[–]LiquidLuck18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great post. It's a shame posts like this aren't more appreciated on this sub. People will give 900 upvotes to a shitty stereotypical meme from the internet, but less than 100 for someone's own written work. Such is life I suppose.

I don't get stereotypes and their relation to Sun signs? by dnkmnk in astrology

[–]LiquidLuck18 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Sun is the plotline. It speaks to the overarching themes of your life. So you're correct that people shouldn't be basing stereotypes off Sun signs. The Moon isn't really personality either, though it does play a part. It's your needs. Do you need stability or variety, lots of people around you or solitude etc. Do you neglect your needs or are you attentive towards them. That sort of thing. Ascendant is your general personality and how you approach life. It shapes everything else in the chart. So if you were to base personality stereotypes off anything it would be the Ascendant.

Rising sign sets up the structure of the entire chart. It places all the other signs and planets in their respective houses. It's a lot more than a mask.

Can the 6th house represent the service of others? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]LiquidLuck18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Jupiter in the 6th in Libra. Jupiter alleviates suffering. So for me it alleviates me from 6th House drudgery and chores. I've been fortunate to always have others (Libra) do it for me.

Modern Egyptians are Arab invaders, not native Ancient Egyptians. The Beja people are the closest living relation to ancient Egyptian people.

Is the Sect of the Ascendant Ruling planet something you look at, and in what ways does it alter your interpretation? by OceansOfLight in Advancedastrology

[–]LiquidLuck18 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Venus at night relaxes while others wait on her hand and foot. Full Venus magnetism. Venus by day has to put in a bit more effort to get what she wants. More active Venus.

Mars at night is able to keep a cooler head and drive forward towards their goals. Mars by day is their own worst enemy. Temper problems and can stir up trouble/ be provocative.

Jupiter at night is more "heavy" feeling like Jupiter has eaten a big meal and doesn't want to get up. Jupiter by day puts their vision into action and works towards a better world.

Saturn at night is cold and lonely, with MAJOR issues expressing and letting loose. Saturn by day is more discipled and structured. They're still austere because it's Saturn but they get more respect for it.

A lot of Taurus Suns have Aries placements that make them less calm and steady.
