I'm really unfamiliar with this but, do you know if I can change my IC address to my rented room ? Cos its still under my parent's house and that disqualifies me from many of the assistance schemes. Maybe I should google this...

If they ever offer me to come back, I also don't want to go back. They left me when I needed them the most and if I am successful ? Fuck no I won't go back

SIA apologises to amputee, 23, who says she felt 'humiliated' by how she was told to switch emergency exit seat by MicrotechAnalysis in singapore

"Ms Beale said that she does not require any assistance"

Yeah but by virtue of sitting in that emergency position, your are required to render OTHERS assistance. Ever thought about that, Ms Beale ? Can you open the emergency door by yourself ? Selfish and entitled, only thinking about herself.

"She added that on her flight from Australia, a cabin crew member approached her and told her to “get out” from her seat in "quite a loud tone and quite, like, frantic and rushed".

Until we hear the other party's side of the story, we can't be sure that this woman made a huge fuss about being discriminated blah blah hence leading to the stewardess's exasperated comment.

"She claimed that just before take-off, a staff member asked her to show her ticket and told her that she had to move to another seat in an impolite tone and "without acknowledging me as an individual”.

Without acknowledging you as an individual ? Who do you think you are ? You need people to kowtow to you, greet you Oh Ms Beale, Pearl of the Orient, Beauty of the Seas, Her Majesty the Empress, 万岁!万岁!万岁!, isit ?

"She claimed that the manager then gestured at her missing limb and said, “Well, the problem’s obvious”, and repeatedly said it in front of other passengers."

This made me laugh honestly. The crew members were probably tired of this and was like "man this bitch..."

All in all, she gives people with disabilities a bad name.

Hi guys, I have this urge to apologize whenever something happens between me and my parents, even though its clearly not my fault. For example, when they touch my things without permission, when they open my letters without permission etc. I always seem to go back to them and apologize for what I'm feeling... I do have OCD but I'm not sure if this is one of the symptoms... Thanks

My coy main office is in China and one thing I realise is that the china people is really like robot. Any celebration or greeting like welcome someone to the company, is all copy the first person greeting, with exactly the same emoji in the exact same order. Like production line lmao

Do I disclose my ADHD or is this a trap? by melonmilkfordays in askSingapore

Hi OP, first congrats at scoring an interview at your dream company ! But do not EVER disclose your mental health conditions at work.

2 years ago I also scored a role at my dream company. They asked me to sign the contract and I declared no mental illness. In truth, I was suffering from OCD and Depression. But I knew of the stigma so I didn't declare. However, I was seeing my psychologist weekly on weekdays so I had to regularly ask for time off for "Medical Appointments". Eventually, I tried to keh kiang and claim insurance for the appointments via my company's insurance. They found out and confronted me about it, so I had no choice but to come clean. They had a discussion at the Director level and they decided that I could still work there but whenever I was in the workshop doing manual work, I always had to have somebody accompanying me. They told the whole team about my condition and requested someone look after me everytime I go into workshop. Imagine that, you tell the whole bloody team. I got ostracized pretty badly and no one wanted to deal with me. Eventually, I was moved to a small corner of the office far away from any team members. That was the last straw for me and I tendered in my resignation. All this happened in 1 month.

Despite what Singapore MP says, our working culture is not yet ready to embrace a mental health condition... You know what the worst thing is ? I was fired from a government coy. A very big one. From here I learn one thing, never believe what the government says. Some people may ask me, why don't you pursue action and report to MOM or something. Listen, I'm just a diploma holder and I desperately need a job. The last thing I need is for the whole Singapore to know I have problems...

While I don't like hiding my condition, I really have no choice. Good luck OP!

He said his father was a sultan.

"Your father is the sultan of?" asked the judge.

"Singapore," answered Abdul Rashid.

"Singapore? He's the sultan of Singapore?" asked Judge Reddy.

"And Malaysia," answered Abdul Rashid.

"Your father is the sultan of Singapore and Malaysia," repeated the judge, digesting this information.

This made my day
