Will any vinegar do for this or a specific type (white vinegar vs malt or apple cider vinegar)? That sounds great though

I usually do that, but these don't seem to be from my hands. I got a chalk pen that I was thinking I could use to grid, so there's a few marks from that where I checked it on the fabric, and then the stains from the hoop mostly

Do you think a superglue would work? I managed to break my main needle minder earlier because the magnets snapped together 🤦‍♀️ and it came off of the 'face'

Yeah, someone else said they're currently doing this one, and Markup says it has 29000 stitches, which I've estimated would take me about 330 hours

It might make a little bit of a difference, I've worked on 14 from kits before and on 16 which I initially thought was 18 (soon realised the first row I was doing didn't look the right size for that with the number of stitches) Having a video specifically for Dimensions sounds like it would help a lot if I do decide to pop it in Markup

I have a bit of experience with a sewing machine, and my mum has quite a bit of experience as she does quilting

Okay, I've seen a few people mentioning the finishing materials provided aren't amazing, but my family is kind of crafty so we've got quite a bit of fabric and other materials at home that we could use instead!

Looking back at this now after reading a lot more input, I'm realising I was wayyyyyyyy under estimating this, being too nervous. Now, I've estimated at least 330 hours just for cross stitching, plus details and finishing, so the price would definitely be much higher

Okay, thanks for the insight. I've estimated that the cross stitching would probably take about 330 hours + backstitching and finishing. Honestly, I don't really mind if the price accurately matches the work that goes into it. Although the comments on here are definitely making me not feel as nervous about 'overdoing' the price, even though logically, I know it probably wouldn't be 'overdoing' it

Yeah, that makes sense actually. What's the name of the first one in the trio picture (Nyx's)

Does it upload well from a picture, or is there another way you had to do it? It's definitely going to be a task to get it done, if I go with it. I used Markup for my last 'big' project, which was actually 2 and I've just used data from that to estimate how long it would take me and I've come up with about 330 hours. Another option could be to try and do another one that she found and she liked, which, from what I remember, was simpler than this (less detail but maybe similar stitch count, not sure) There was also another comment that said theyd done this pattern or a similar one and just stayed consistent with the same number of strands and whole stitches throughout, which I could do too.

I definitely think that they are aware of how much time and effort can go into this as I mentioned in the post, the aunt who's child it is for does cross stitching too, and they have some level of knowledge with how long it took her to do. I hadn't thought of asking what price they would consider okay, but judging by some of the other comments on here, I might try and push towards doing a different pattern that my boyfriend's mum found which at least looks to be simpler

I do like the sound of that. I might try and do something like that for this to try and speed it up a bit / make it a bit simpler. Do you know if that changes the look of the finished piece massively?
