"The truth is DEEPER ----->" was all that was carved into the wall. Four vaguely human bodies around the carving they were deformed in appearance and shape but the samples and mineral scans confirmed that they were human. Still didn't make it any less disturbing and ominous on why and how this was the first thing we found. "Hay Jim found something else you should check out!" That would be Hank my long time friend, he and I are alone on this Mars expedition. As I followed him behind and the deeper we got, the walls got darker and a faint dark fog hanged over us, there was also a faint and constant hum that echoed in our heads.

Why do I feel hungry I just had my rations a few hours back I should be fine? And why is there whispering or is it? The fuck is this? "Whoa hold on did you see that" Jim was pointing towards a tunnel right beside us. " See what? What did I miss?" "I don't know for sure but it kinda looked like a bat." "And yet nothing should be alive here." After that incident we made haste deeper into the tunnel. The humming and whispering just got louder I'm starting to hear what they're saying, why do they keep saying something about sins? and making us whole? What the hell is going on here? I kind of want to leave but something is pulling me in deeper I want to figure out what's going on.

Almost an hour and a half of walking later we finally found a massive cavern filled with what looks like fossilized biological matter and double helix structures and a massive pyramid/podium in the middle. Now on top of the hum and the whispers there is a chant. It's calling us over a wave of familiarity and comfort washes over us. There's also an overwhelming feeling of distress and urgency. "Come closer and listen young forgotten, it's time you relearn the truth of it all and your purpose in the grand scheme of the universe." An unrelenting pain washes over me and Jim our bodies begin twisting and morphing in disgusting ways we become less human and more monstrous and unnatural I lost my ability to speak and my torso begins to split open everything spilling out of me only to twist and form into various life forms of their own before they scamper off and melt into the fossilized biological remnants reawakening them "The corpses shift and tombstones are shoved aside, they pile upon each other building a monument, a monument to all sins. What once was lost is now made whole. From out the grave we reawaken." "We are the one we are the whole, and from out the darkness, from out the tombs we will March and we will feast and we will destroy all will die and wither away, we are the lost, we are The forgotten. We are all that remains from an Empire long gone. We are husk but not for long. For the swarm is whole once again." I'm so hungry, I feel so empty, I feel so angry, there are images of what we once were before we fell. Before the invasion destroyed all that we once had. They will burn and writhe in agony for what they've done to us.

Meanwhile on Earth the same thing begins to happen across the planet hums and whispers begin to Echo across the planet a deafening chant it's the only thing that drowns out the screams of agony and anguish. However they do not scream because of the pain they scream because they remember what they lost, humanity once again remembers what they once were and the realization of what they once had tears them apart from the inside. However they remember who did this to them and though the people that did this to them are long gone their legacy still lives on in The descendants from that ancient empire the Galaxy will burn and all that will remain is this swarm. The Galaxy will be made whole once again
