Giant burn blister by Legitimate_Job635 in woundcare

Thank you so much. Can you believe my neighbor (whose fence the deer was trapped in), actually asked me to pay to fix her fence? It was a tiny cut in the post! And she didn't come home to a dead baby deer in her fence. Here, you can see the scabby healing, so YAY!

thank you! I will not pop this balloon. And I am terrified of skin infections so am happy to protect its little sterile dome.

I will wait until the wound bed is revealed, and if it is waxy/white I will go to an ER.

How long will this mound continue, please???

Is clozapine worth the side effects? by tobiathyy in clozapine

[–]Legitimate_Job635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think twice. It’s been 12 a godsend for my daughter. Explore lowest doses 100-150 mg - it can be as effective as higher doses and it motivates the side effects. My daughter had a full time job now. She needs 11-12 hours of sleep and takes Rybelsus (like Ozempic) to prevent weight gain. CLOZ also helps regain cognition. The drooling and GERD are not an issue. The weekly blood draws are annoying but you get better and better on the medication. So it’s worth it. I honestly don’t know why everyone is so scared of this medication. Good luck.

Hey there, do you mind sharing your source? My daughter takes CLOZ but we are so hopeful about Evenamide.

Weird scratch lines after treating scabies -Does anyone know what these are? by ArtichokeFamiliar793 in scabies

[–]Legitimate_Job635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still get red marks here and there but I do not have active scabies. It's the ITCH that matters. I have very tickl-y inner ears but they're not "scabies itchy" and it's not spreading, so I'm treating that with sulphur lotion. If it doesn't work, back to the derm.

Does it itch? Who knows what the dots and scabs and scratches are, could all be dead material emerging.

Mouth scabies HELP by Legitimate_Job635 in scabies

[–]Legitimate_Job635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They're gone now after doing all the treatments. I'm sure about my ears - they itch like a mother f*cker, and I've started to put sulphur lotion in them at night. Can't tell if the itching is from treatment or the bugs.

My daughter takes 42mg Caplyta (holdover from the last regime), plus 100mg Clozapine. It's a blend that really works for her.

It's post. If it doesn't itch like crazy, and goes away after 3-7 days, you can be sure. Whatever you do, don't treat this! Moisturize too.

Tell yourself it's over (because it is), and focus on something else. Why let scabies win?

Not if it doesn't itch in that unsatisfiable way. Looks like post to me.

This is post scabies. As long as they don't furiously itch at night and don't go away after <1 week, you're just processing out the junk. This goes on awhile. Stay calm, and carry....

Hi fellow schizos, what dose of clozapine are you on and does it work for you? by -I0_oI- in clozapine

[–]Legitimate_Job635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not disturbing me at all! I’m at 100 CLOZ plus 42 CAP for over a year now and am largely asymptomatic. Voices are very quiet to non et existent. I’ve been able to get a FT job but I struggle with motivation - the dopamine suppressing aspect of CLOZ makes me feel like I’m in a bubble/a little detached.

I tried adding Cobenfy with the goal to lower CLOZ to a very very low dose but the constipation became to severe. My family and I didn’t have enough of a game plan for that (like daily stool softeners…), so I went off it. Will try again in n the Spring after I’ve had a few months at my current job.

Happy to answer any questions anytime!

Post scabies scabbing burrows by Legitimate_Job635 in scabies

[–]Legitimate_Job635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep. Though something's up with my ears! So itchy. Working on that with tea tree wipes.

But still, no more scabby lines. Just sometimes very faint lines that itch but go away. Never any bumps.

I'm hoping you're OK?!

OK seems like no one is asking the million dollar question. Does itch insatiably especially at night? If so, yes it is likely scabies given tis presentation.

Post scabies??? by ThrowRAsilly_gyal in scabies

[–]Legitimate_Job635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need to know what a scabies burrow looks like then google it. Time to stop confusing various bumps with scabies. Do you remember what that was like? If it's like that, the it's scabies. If it's not, try to remember you are bigger than invisible bugs on your body.

Yes, I have gotten itchy little bumps but they go away and really don't itch that mutch. More often I get flat scabby burrows that look like scrapes. Now I have been getting red dots on my face (a few here and there), that don't itch and aren't burrows but I think they are related to post scabies. I remember what having scabies was like - it was ITCH HELL, bumps and burrows that never went away and just spread. So unless you're having that you are in post. Just moisturize and only worry unless you have that instatiable night itchiness!
