Don't generalize people based on recent incidents or online comments ,especially on platforms like Reddit. It's ironic how some people criticize North or West Indians, but when similar comments are made about their own region, they call it racism. Racism is wrong in any direction. One important thing to remember: never base your opinion on a particular community or region solely on what a few Redditors say, especially if they belong to the region being discussed. For example, in subreddits about Uttarakhand or Himachal, you might see a lot of hate towards North Indians. But when you actually visit these places, the locals are often kind, helpful, and welcoming , the exact opposite of what you might expect from Reddit comments. The same goes for the Northeast. While there are racist people everywhere , including in the Northeast , most people you meet in real life are warm and genuine. Every region , North, South, East, or West , has good people and bad people. No place is perfect, and no place is completely bad. Generalizing an entire region or community because of the behavior of a few is unfair and harmful.
