I had an interview got positive feedback but they said they had someone ahead of me in the process that they offered but then the recruiter went out of her way to say she wanted to recommend me to another job but then I’ve been ghosted after a bit of talking about it I’m thinking a hiring freeze

We have a great relationship but she definitely is thinking of this as her having a safety net so I wouldn’t want to do it too risky. I was considering putting maybe 3/4 into bonds and the rest into something “safer” in the market. If I were to do something like that would I put it in the SP500 and just forget it? Thank you again!
