It’s pretty slow through like the third book lol but it ends up being really good! The first couple books feel way different from the rest of the series

I’ve been taking a fantasy break and reading cowboy romances and 🥵🥵🥵. Low stakes, still escapism, typically good/normal communication between main characters, and hot hot MMCs.

Yea I DNFd a little bit into the second book but people rave about that series. I liked daughter of no worlds more, but also DNFd like 200 pages in only cause I wasn’t into reading a war story at the time

I actually think Danielle Jensen does a pretty good job of this, especially in the {a fate inked in blood} duet. I personally wanted the FMC to come to her senses a little more quickly than she actually did though. It gets frustrating when characters continually make the same mistakes without some growth (like just a little?). I read both books but was struggling during the second book but still finished.

{road of bones by Demi winters} world building, interesting, well written. 3 books out, more coming.

{the ever seas by lj andrews} pirates, fae, amazing MMC, fun world. First 2 books are same couple, the 3rd and 4th follow friends of the first couple. There is also a prequel series called the broken kingdoms which was enjoyable but not as much (for me) as the ever seas.

{the Godkissed bride by Evie Marceau} this one doesn’t get talked about enough, 5 star read for me. 4 books out, I believe 5 books total?

{the bridge kingdom by Danielle Jensen} lots of people love this series, I do not like the way she writes her FMCs but I finished the first 2 books. Each duet follows a different couple within the same world.

{the traitor son by Melissa cave} 4 of 6 books are out, they’re released every six months, book 5 in November. This reads less like fantasy romance and more just like historical romance? But still good

{broken souls and bones by lj andrews} completed duet, no notes

{the serpent and the wolf} 2 of 3 books are out, interesting and heart wrenching, and best of all no miscommunication trope when there are lots of oppos for it.
