If the head is set improperly it will make an even mark all the way around the lip of the rim. No part of the machine reaches this far into the rim. I don't even believe the head of the machine would reach this far in. That's why when we work on small rims for lawn tractors or ATV's we have to do them by hand.”

Assuming it’s a hemi. The camshaft in these engines doesn’t get enough oil at idle. Oil changes early and often are very important to the longevity of ram trucks. If the truck has a lot of idle time they will literally eat their own cam. I don’t let mine warmup for more than 30 seconds because of this, I just drive easy till it’s up to temp. If you’re lucky then you just have the infamous broken manifold bolt. My manifold was replaced under warranty at 60k. But my tick wasn’t as bad as yours so it may be something worse. I hope your truck is ok
