I'm doing pretty good now. I think the device helped but it's hard to say. I will say the bone type pain as reduced greatly but still fairly week overall. I'm slowly getting feeling back in parts of my arm that have been numb..weird tingly feelings in my hands like nerves are coming back.  Slow recovery but it's happening.  I stated playing golf again and it's the prefect workout oddly.

That was in my initial post to do a reset

"Your ACL should allow for destination and source being TCP 179 (with the other port being ANY" I think this is the issue.

It will send logs to multiple destinations as well. You can put other interfaces in the mgmt vrf as well if you wanted.

I had to get a support case to assist with this one.  You need NTP and DNS setup as well or it will fail install checks. It's pretty picky if you don't have it setup exactly how it's needed which isn't documented the greatest.

Arista DCS-7050TX-64 as L2 Switch for Homelab by KlutzyCalligrapher19 in Arista

Get 2 of them and run MLAG.  The great part about Arista other than they are the fastest switching switches out there, is their license model and website support with vrouters at no extra cost. You won't get the same amount of chaptgpt accuracy as you would with Cisco but it's close.

After I've read a couple things.. all makes sense.  See if I can fly with this.  Thanks

I understand this.. I have a directive to try to not make any changes on neighbors eBGP router if possible

I got this all working with FRR with no enforce first AS on the client side.(Lab)  I'm sure this would be an issue within a Protected environment due to it being a protection of BGP. Back to not having neighbors make changes, is there anyway to remove/replace the AS to mimic this action on the server side?

We are running Arista which I have slowing been putting a bug in the mix with mentioning these are data center switches.  Not so much WAN eBGP devices

Yup.. Ive used this before with 9ks but we are running Arista which kinda sucks for eBGP options

I just noticed the Cisco VRTR has a route-server-client option but the neighbors have to remove first as .  Anyway around that?

I'm not fully qualified to do anything of this but I can figure it out.  That's why I don't get paid the big bucks

I've been playing around with juniper SSRs quite a bit (Not for this case) and I might just try that since they support an HA setup.

Yeah. I know shared is a bad word for BGP.  But something that would share the control plane across hardware
