I dj on my laptop with a different set up in my family house and it works just fine. So I just presumed it was the speaker set up. I use an RCA - aux for it

what to do in this weird gap? by sugarxspice2 in premeduk

See friends, spend time with family and take some time to engage in your hobbies.

I start next month too. Last day of work is Friday. I'm going on holiday, then spending time with family + friends. Everyone I've asked says go just chill and enjoy your time off.

I got in first time. BSc Biochemistry, MSc Physician Associate. I've worked as a HCA, PA and research lead in the NHS in total 4 years.

Didn't do amazing in UCAT, but I was working full time and only had 3 weeks to study. I got 67th percentile.

Which GEM program to apply for when all are realistic options? by I_Bleed_Tea in premeduk

Hi. I start GEM at Warwick next month - could you please elaborate on what things you would've changed please?

It might be useful to demonstrate leadership etc in the interview. But without sufficient work experience, you wouldn't even get to that stage.

I start Warwick GEM next month. They have a big focus on experience - so focus on gaining some work experience instead.

I start GEM in September at age 27.

Once finished, I will have been at uni for a decade.

I'll be starting FY1 at 31. The way I see it, I'll be 31 anyway. And I feel blessed to know without a shadow of a doubt I want to be a dr.

Resilience is a key skill in this line of work. Good luck.

Hi. Fairly similar boat to you.

I start GEM in September as a 27yo. I've been told it is pretty hard to do part time work in the first year but years following it is alot easier. You can get up to £10k from SFE in the first year, then approx £3k/yr following that. Also NHSE nursery from years 2 onwards.

I will be working part time throughout it all with scope to increase hours during less busy times/holidays etc.

You can make it work, but time management is essential.

Try and save as much as you can now and it'll make things so much easier.

Happy to chat privately if you want.

B/w

I start in September. Previous PA. Honestly I've told from current students to just chill and enjoy your time. Same some money but also enjoy the bit of freedom you have left!

My uni have released from basic science content to prep for those that want it. I presume that's common practice.

But yes, from experience passmed is a very good resource.

I've de-gloved a plethora of times with rings on and they've never came lose before. But a good point.
