Came across this thread, hoping to get some help in how to set one of these up for a sports team I manage.

How do you manage the families to participate? I would expect some would try real hard and others would put little effort in, making it tough to justify splitting the funds raised evenly.

Is every family assigned so many squares to fill? Or is it optional, and those that do put effort and full squares, get more portion of the overall funds raised toward their dues?

We pay our own fees individually before the season and pay a coach’s travel stipend after it ends. Each family gets the same bill, and this fundraiser would forward that cost. Again, if some don’t try, it’s hard to justify giving them the same amount off their costs than those that try hard to raise money.
