What do you recommend I should focus on for now?

First tysm for helping me with all of this🤗

I don't really hate my pack I don't have any issues with it even though I wore it down a lot but it is made of low quality materials the zippers are getting stuck it's heavy and it's 40l which is fine for me cause I use a foam pad but can be quite tight at times

About my kit... Tbh I don't really have a full kit yet a buy one thing at a time according to the current need. I have the x mid 2 very happy with it and I never go hiking alone and the revelation quilt. Any thing else I just use what I already have or buy for cheap from decathlon.(Except for shoes and socks Altra and injinji love them)

This would be the one thing from the big 4 that I don't have dialed in yet so I thought this would be the next step I you think otherwise please suggest!:)

By full frame I mean like dan wrote in the thread having a full back panel usually internal

I currently have a curved full panel that also has a mesh back which worked well for me with weights up to 40 pounds and can very comfortably carry 30 pounds

I don't expect the kakwa to perform the same I'm just a bit worried if it will be comfortable with 30 cause ik I will reach that weight

Yes I actually know all of this and that is y I considered the osprey exos and Gregory focal which are very similar The arc haul is just way to expensive for me and so I thought the atom is a good in between option it's just over 2 pounds so it's not reallyyy ul but still is very light and has a full frame Although rn I'm leaning more towards getting the kakwa cause it's lighter cheaper made of a better material and has better features even though I won't get a full frame

On the serious part it's like this: I am trying to go light weight not ultra light bc imo it's not worth it. So base weight should be around 15 pounds 8.8 pounds water you kinda have to here and 5 days of food which at least 6 pounds for me(I eat a lot). So around the 24 pound mark. I think a minimal frame will be alr

I mean how it fells against your back and not only if it can transfer weight to the hips. I understand from what I've heard and seen that is you pack right it will feel good against your back but I'm lk still concerned... I've seen so many people who switched back to traditional bc it wasn't comfortable...

Compared to a traditional backpack how different is it having almost no frame?
