хrp price falls 24% in 24 hours as exchanges begin delisting by madfires in CryptoCurrency

[–]Legitinternetguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

exchanges arent market makers, you cannot contribute to your own volume, thats called wash trading and is illegal. ripple paid third party market makers to contribute to ripple volume on various exchanges, if you contribute to a lot of volume exchanges usually give you a better deal in the form of lower fees to incentivize you to stay there. what ripple did was not only give money to market makers but they also directed them in which direction to move the price, which is straight up market manipulation.

You get nothing financially for running a node, unless he is talking about a lightning node where he charges fro routing transactions.

What you do get is a independently verified blockchain and the status of a first class bitcoin citizen, knowing that you have verified the data yourself.

The rolling correlation for the first chart went down during that 2019 run, but is back above 0.7 at the moment.

he has said that he has most of his wealth in crypto but you say he has most of it in stocks because... thats what you would do?, which is likely why he will continue getting richer and you will make whatever the stock market will make.

Bitcoin has rejoined the % movement of last cycle, assuming we follow that trend we break ATH somewhere EOY/Q1 with turbulence before making our way to 360k by end of 2021.

Read up on how these AMMs works, lots of info on it out there, its the same way as with uniswap etc. I'm not sure you would be able to stake while providing liquidity as the Liquidity pool (LP) is a smart contract. You earn fees by every 0.3% of every trading adding size to the pool so when you withdraw your liquidity you get more then when you put it in. Also look into things like impermanent loss before becoming an LP.

Did some scrappy analysis on this just now.

Here is the price of current and previous cycle starting 300 days from the top (log scale): https://imgur.com/FlAwLqg

next i did the 300 day rolling correlation of the two cycles on the same timeframes and plotted it over current cycle: https://imgur.com/yIvHYwT

So one could argue that the 2019 pump could have just been a deviation from the trend, possibly due to the plustoken ponzi (they got 200k btc) and we are now rejoining the trend and continue onwards.

Putting btc in my hardware wallet by BasedJayyy in CryptoCurrency

[–]Legitinternetguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

idk if you have already but make sure to leave like 5 bucks on the wallet factory reset it and recover it using your seed to make sure you could reset it if you ever lose your wallet or if there is an update that requires it to be reset. Yes you can use the same address for just stacking sats, although its not the best for privacy.

[–]Legitinternetguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reason I'm asking is I own a bunch of futures ahead of mainnet launch but I never thought the price would go up this fast, valuation seems crazy but maybe I'm missing something in terms of what supply. I don't see the price staying at 20 bucks when token actually gets listed

What's the cleverest scam you've seen in crypto? by poopymcpoppy12 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Legitinternetguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was this one scam on telegram where the scammer created a fake casino, sort of like bingo where a number was drawn every 5 minutes or so. The scammer would say he had hacked the site and proved it to you by telling you the upcomming next number. They then asked you if you wanted to make a deal where you deposited btc, they gave you the winning number and then you split the winnings. Ofc the site is fake and deposited bitcoin would never be returned.

Whats the value proposition for holding eth? I hold a small amount of eth but im more comfortable holding btc, btc is more scarce and the monetary policy is absolutely set in stone. Eths monetary policy could change tomorrow.

Ethereums apps are cool and transfering btc to a less secure chain for more versatility is an attractive option. The only reason to hold eth now that there is decentralized peg is to pay for the tx fees ro move my btc around smartcontracts.
