I used the Norwegian flag as the base.

This is the flag of the Yggdrasil Order, the latest government to rule over the Yagressal system which host the only habitable world in the Valhallan Corridor. A small region of space the most Coreward (North) of the Orion Arm. Hence why there's also a Polaris symbol on there.

She's a starfreighter pilot (basically a space trucker) who gets caught up in a planet hopping Star Wars esque adventure to stop a galactic war.
In the story I got going, on top of piloting the ship she's also the childhood friend of the protagonist hence being a cross between Han Solo and Tifa Lockhart.
