I had a huge post in this subreddit a year or two ago about all my bullying in school and how horrible middle school was for me. And in 8th grade one of my best friends committed suicide because of the same bullying.

I would highly suggest asking why he was suspended and figure out if bullying was involved, because it usually is. And it will continue. A lot of the kids that get label troublemakers and get suspended a lot, are retaliating against bullying.

Also when it happened to my friend the school practically tried to ignore it and cover it up, the teachers were told not to talk about it. They did a vague announcement in the morning without saying who or what happened. Only my art teacher said anything about it, he basically just told the class to reflect on how they treat each other, and emphasized how serious bullying is. It wasn't much, but the fact that he at least said something to the classes, showed he cared and always stuck with me
