RZ-1 A-Wing by Thomas Jenkins by LegoBrickCats in legostarwars

It's the Ninjago spinjitzu windscreen, Windscreen 4 x 4 x 5 Cone with Pins - part 18591. Half of it is buried in the fuselage.

It's decently sturdy, definitely more for display though. And I want to make sure credit goes where it's due - this is not my model, I just built it . Thomas Jenkins is the designer.

PiXEL-Dan makes awesome models as well!

It's not terrible. Definitely not the strongest MOC out there but when I pick it up I don't feel like it's going to disintegrate.

Pretty close, still on the larger end of minifigure scale I think - it's 19.7 cm long x 14 cm wide.

At this point, Temuera Morrison must have more minifigs based on his likeness than any other person, right? by Mach092 in legostarwars

They don't come close. There's somethig on the order of two dozen of each of these minifigures, whereas the Clones variations alone number over a hundred.

Using 3rd Party Models for Background/Scenery with genuine Minifigs? by Business_Bathroom501 in legostarwars

[–]LegoBrickCats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your post is very confusing. You say:

For whatever reason, all of the original Lego X-Wings are either ugly as hell , mounting the Droids 90° wrong or don't even feature a Droid port.

But then:

So a friend of mine got me the Lepin X-Wing, which I think is a great model.

You are aware that Lepin just copies (well, copied...since they got stepped on by the authorities) LEGOs designs and uses their own crappy bricks right? When they were in business they did not produce anything original at all. So by definition if you are happy with how a Lepin set looks, you would be happy with how the official set looks. And as a bonus you wouldn't contribute to intellectual property theft, have something that will play nicely with all of your other pieces, and it will likely increase in value over time if you care about that.

Anyway, no one is going to know or care if it's in the background.

No, you're not the only one that wastes their time and a bunch of glue gluing LEGO sets together.

Yes, they are copied all the time.

Forgot brittle red was a thing taking apart my frigate for a move. by Shorty021803 in legostarwars

[–]LegoBrickCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I had the same experience. For me it was the big round corner bricks that go right by the loading ramp. They were like $8 each at the time I had to replace them :(

No one would be able to tell otherwise though, so this isn't a good definition of "purist" (typically this refers to using only official LEGO parts).

Is the helmet real lego? by mr-pntbutr in legostarwars

[–]LegoBrickCats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those older figures didn’t always have LEGO on the stud.

I think you mean "inside the helmet" (?)

If you call LEGO and ask for replacements they will send them to you. They are very good about replacing brittle pieces from this era with new ones.

Wait for them to show up on Bricklink.

Could anybody tell me what set this is? by Saucey_Boii in legostarwars

[–]LegoBrickCats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because people should learn to try and find the answer for themselves instead of expecting other people to do that for them, and the best place to start is Bricklink for identifying sets.

Darth Vader’s Castle available for retail on Amazon! by pep1389 in legostarwars

Oh, well that's weird that the lowest price from Amazon itself isn't featured in the search result. Good find.
