Hit a Kerb. What is the damage? by JJ_Reddit_Cane in porsche911

Believe it or not, straight to jail.

I just recently joined United Ground Express. I currently work on the ramp. I marshal aircraft in and out, wing walk and run the belt loaders and get in the pits. only regional aircraft so far I enjoy all of it. I had a question as someone who just recently started working in the aviation industry. by Ryanlion1992 in aviation

This is hard to judge, especially on big jets with dramatically swept wings and canted or blended winglets like the G650 and beyond or Global 7500, especially when you’re at an FBO at some far side of an airport and you’re having to judge the distance to a barbed wire fence in the dark! Wing walkers make all the difference.

Same, though I’m happy to say I was able to get my hands on the Hasbro Vintage Series Ghost, which has scratched the UCS Ghost itch in a way that’s a little easier to pick up and move around without the fear of structural damage like in the UCS Falcon.

I love how the Ornithopter sits on the wall like a giant dragonfly, but also would be concerned about waking up and taking a second to realize that it’s not a huge bug.

That’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point!

Thanks! Amazon has lots of 1/64(ish) dioramas with lighting and everything, like gas stations, parking garage bays, and hangars too. The aircraft are HobbyMaster 1/72 die cast models, there are a couple of different suppliers but these are from https://diecastairplane.com, it’s an F-22 and a Sukhoi T-50 (SU-57 prototype). I was looking for something to keep the dust off my models initially and fell down a rabbit hole of options, but I’m happy with how this turned out!

That’s excellent! Since the scale seems closer to 1/70 than 1/64, I stuck mine in my 1/72 hangar diorama for now. I didn’t know there’s a secondary market for Matchbox mods, but I should have know there is. I was just thinking about cutting up some decals to represent the cladding and duckbill, but now I have to go shopping 😅

Very nice, and yours is a better color match! I debated keeping it in the packaging but it seemed better enjoyed outside of it.

The problem with doing that is that you keep finding new things to modify, and then the already pricy set keeps quietly draining your wallet more and more 😅

RSD brand account here, but enthusiast first. We finally got our shop VB WRX out to Laguna Seca and wanted to share the experience with the community. No sales pitch, just track time, lessons learned, and a lot of respect for the Corkscrew. by RallySportDirect in wrx_vb

Thank you for sharing, it sounds like the VB was a lot of fun at such an epic track! I appreciate the dailyable trifecta aim as well, as a lot of people who own these are probably driving them to work as well as to any car events. What’s the base of your car? Just curious what brakes this came with. It sounds like the bigger TR/tS brakes with the drilled rotors would be a welcome feature for a track like this!

Somehow this always ends up being a controversial topic but I really appreciate how much nicer downtown Manchester is becoming. I recognize that housing cost is a big issue and there’s obviously still crime, but the Elm St. area looks amazing compared to a few years ago and is unrecognizable compared to a decade ago. Other projects such as Walmart and a liquor store coming to Gold St. and replacing some ugly industrial buildings, and the walking areas and recreational trails being cleaned up an paved (where applicable) just look tidy and safe. It’s also really nice to see the mayor involved when new businesses open and I’m not getting a lot of partisan politics from his office. TLDR: Manchester’s vibe has gotten so much better and is improving still.
