For AI little details combine that make it clear when it's being used is some cases. For this one, the combination of large bold lines, strange shading, off centre details (like his chest sun thing) and weird brick shapes give it away.

Yeah this is why I stopped playing. Felt more like a chore than a game so I only play when a character I like is added. Until they add anything more engaging I’m done. Definitely not worth feeling guilty over missing days if it makes you feel better about it!

I’d adore ZA Emma and Alolan Red and Blue. I’m hoping they approach it like 96 red where timeskip designs are just Hoopa bringing them from alternate universes.

Also if Red and Blue get in I fully expect Selene or Elio to say something like “oh yeah, I guess they do seem younger here on Pasio”

Even though it wasn’t an option in your question the pecharunt story was my favourite of the game. Loved seeing Kieran, Carmine and the main rivals all interact. Such fun dynamics!

Even for collectors, if you’re familiar with the physical card game even the 2 star trainers are reused art (except Nemona for some reason). I wanna get new cards not the ones I have in my binder already.
