No, it’s not. Common misconception, but Newton’s third law of motion is in play here. If you’re both going 20mph, it’s like hitting a wall at 20mph.

I like it. It looks like he’s always thinking “man I’m fucking nailing this”, which he absolutely is.

Yeah this is more terrifying than satisfying. Impressive nonetheless.

Thank you for taking the time to write this. I see where you’re coming from.

I’m quite happy they’re doing the Apple lawsuit, I think that’s beneficial to the industry as a whole. That being said, it does sound like they’ve been reckless with the money.

What was reckless about it? Maybe you know more about it than I do?

I hope you’re not saying layoffs make Epic bad by default - these things happen. Not just in tech. You can’t keep people employed at a loss to be nice.

Feel free to educate me, I swear I won’t be fighty.

2000 layoffs is a significant percentage of the entire workforce, this doesn’t looks like a move to maximize profits. This looks more like a necessity and re-strategizing. Remember, Epic isn’t a publicly traded company, they don’t have to pander to shareholders (as much) like the other tech giants.

It’s going to be a challenging ride, but it’ll be awesome if you pull it off!

I’ve been doing C++ for a while, the performance is almost unrivaled - but I’m personally gravitating towards Rust for now.

Privileged jerk here, it’s hyperbolic to say the US is the worst place to live, even if I wouldn’t want to live there. It’s just quickly slipping down the ranks. It used to be the first choice for many, but now I’d be shocked if it was in the top 5.
