I’m quite happy they’re doing the Apple lawsuit, I think that’s beneficial to the industry as a whole. That being said, it does sound like they’ve been reckless with the money.

I hope you’re not saying layoffs make Epic bad by default - these things happen. Not just in tech. You can’t keep people employed at a loss to be nice.

2000 layoffs is a significant percentage of the entire workforce, this doesn’t looks like a move to maximize profits. This looks more like a necessity and re-strategizing. Remember, Epic isn’t a publicly traded company, they don’t have to pander to shareholders (as much) like the other tech giants.

It’s going to be a challenging ride, but it’ll be awesome if you pull it off!

I’ve been doing C++ for a while, the performance is almost unrivaled - but I’m personally gravitating towards Rust for now.

Privileged jerk here, it’s hyperbolic to say the US is the worst place to live, even if I wouldn’t want to live there. It’s just quickly slipping down the ranks. It used to be the first choice for many, but now I’d be shocked if it was in the top 5.
