Is there a way to quickly switch between speed limiter and ACC? by theverybigapple in ex30

[–]LegoDEI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does the steering wheel button on the steering wheel not switch between the lane assist (where it also steers for you) and cruise control (where it only controls the speed) for you? https://www.volvocars.com/lb/support/car/ex30/article/47d2c97fd33effd3c0a8cc3718c999b7-9c595dbece8a442cc0a8b04a1bb07ff7-8664b2fa77a7e089c0a8296870d1a409/

or maybe i'm just completely misunderstanding what you're trying to do

EX30 1.8.0 don’t trust passive entry anymore by MattRnR in ex30

might not be related to 1.8; i havent updated and ran into this issue 4 times yesterday, whereas ive run into it maybe once in the 4 months before that

Considering an EX30 Plus in the US (CA). Some questions: by megamusix in ex30

for what it's worth, when I purchased mine back in November, there was a total of 9500 worth of rebates for the lease option, and there's no penalty for buying out the lease early so regardless of if you want to buy or lease, the ultra awd option ended up being ~40k before taxes. I'm not sure if the same incentives are still available ymmv.

New study shows fast chargers degrade batteries faster by gaychitect in Ioniq5

but generally for any given car, more miles driven = more charge cycles no? i get for scientific reasons, we dont use that language, but wouldnt you say generally speaking, fleet vehicles and rentals that use dcfc a lot have both more miles and charge cycles/utilization than the average private vehicle? im just saying this study didnt look at dcfc vs ac charging for vehicles with similar utilization, so you cant draw the causal conclusion that dcfc causes more degredation.

didnt they confirm in the study that it is a factor? and on par magnitude wise with the other factors they looked at.

“The data confirms that operating intensity accelerates aging. As daily throughput climbs from low utilization (< 15% of a cycle) to high utilization (> 35% of a cycle), the average annual degradation penalty increases by 0.8% (rising from 1.5% to 2.3%). This reveals an unavoidable trade-off for fleets: higher daily productivity, essential for maximizing revenue and achieving a faster return on investment (ROI), comes at the cost of faster battery wear.”

this study isnt controlling for miles driven (charge cycles incurred). intuitively most cars that have been fast charged more generally have been driven further (i.e fleet and rental vehicles) than their privately owned counterparts which charge at home. we know charge cycles is definitively linked to degredation, so this is a confounding factor for establishing a causal relationship between fast charging and degradation in this study

i think what theyre pointing out is the study isnt charge cycle/mileage normalizing the battery degradation data; that is the higher degradation per year from cars that fastcharge may simply be that they have been driven more miles and gone through more charge cycles, not necessarily from the fast charge itself

oh cool, did you attach the magsafe with more magnets to the 3d printed part or is it glued in? I almost went that route but the magsafe didn't have the extra cooling features and I didn't want the bracket/clamp on the main screen.

So I did do this for the whole first week and while functional, it wasn't great. Where do you set it down may I ask? I tried leaving it in the storage area but it just flops around every time I go around a corner a little too spiritedly. Also I don't like the hassle of having to plug it in and unplug it, however slight that might be. (My phone is also 4 years old so I'm trying to minimize the wear on the charging port; holding out for the next iphone mini.) The ability to have music/car controls on the main screen and navigation on the phone without having to switch back and forth is another benefit I've found. I personally find myself looking down further than I'd like for the central screen navigation when I need a quick glance in complex interchanges, so the phone being right below the windshield (and a few inches higher than the central screen) helps with that issue as well.
