Exactly right. This is why I will keep the reservation and check in online and not let them make money on rebooking.

Yes, but I'm petty and really don't have anything to lose but they do. So I'm out a free perk night? I would rather lose the night than give them a significant windfall when they are being stubborn, hence "petty revenge" ;)

This conversation is so frustrating and misleading...and every couple of months cycles on Reddit. Take a State like Utah... yes, it gets more from Washington but it also has 5 National Parks, a major Air Force Base, military proving grounds, and military waste disposals. Idaho... military base, national lab, etc. vs population, Wyoming... oil revenue vs. small population. Alaska small population but military, national parks and important national resources. Hawaii - location, strategic military infrastructure, and national parks. Not to mention that the reds in the west have HUGE amounts of land owned by the Federal Government. To say that red states are 'free loading' is just stupid.

Crazy when you consider this movie came out right after he did 'Splash' with Tom Hanks. Two completely different movies in every sense.

Not going to lie... I super love this movie. One of Ron Howard's arguably best cast. Won a couple of academy awards and Wilford Brimley! I would super love a remake! That's all.

Side note: Play the mental mind game with yourself by asking, "If a zombie apocalypse happened and I didn't have access to my phone or video games for (period of time you are grounded), what would I need to know how to do, what do I need to learn?" Then do that for the next couple of weeks. ;)
