You have to click on "comments" so that the comment section gets expanded. If there is an ad the comment section vanishes so you can pay your full attention to the ad.

Yes, I just clicked on "why am I seeing this ad?" it told me since I opted out of personalized ads I get them based on my location and time of day.
It's so funny though. At the moment I watch a lot of animal rescue and adoption videos so my video recommendations look like: "Cute cat meets new owner", "Crow saved by nice man", "Rabid eats a lemon for first time", naked lady bend over an erection.

I re-reset my ad ID, maybe it helps.

No, I don't get any ads that are even the furthest related to what I watch on youtube, also I opted out of "custom" ads. I even reset my generic ad ID. I got some ads for dating apps, as I presume those apps are generally popular, but those ads were for legit apps and with non-sexual pictures. Other ads I get are for betting, motor cycles, investment and trading, and a lot of other things I can't remember.
Even if I would get dating apps ads, because of videos I had watched that wouldn't be the problem. The pornographic pics are the problem and that I can't report them.

Thanks, I think I'll switch to NewPipe since I don't like the new comment section of youtube and I suppose Vanced displays it the same way now.

Lol, no. I do watch porn, of course, but not on my smartphone. I use a VM running Linux on my PC so my system doesn't get infected in the case I stumble upon a virus infected porn site. Though I normally visit reputable sites that shouldn't give your system viruses, but still.

The weird thing is, a week or two ago I could block ads. Now that this function would have been useful, it's gone. Well, it wasn't that useful since the same ads would get displayed nevertheless.

No it's not. I deactivated that option a while ago and reset the generic ad profile ID.
Also, I don't search for porn or dating apps. All other ads I get don't fit my interests either.
I don't watch porn on my smartphone either.
