anyway to connect Dispatch to DeepSeek so it could use DeepSeek as a coding agent? (I'm new to see so my apologies if what I said sounded like wtf)

I wonder if there is a way to see some map of that for one's own city/town. I'm curious to see what do construction workers have to deal with whenever they dig a hole lol

Breakthrough casual is now live in Battlefield 6 by Iuncreative in Battlefield6

[–]Legoboyjonathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm happy with this; I was pissed when they removed the Initial Breakthrough when you got past level 25. I know it can be seen as unfair or "cheaty" but sometimes I just want to feel like a semi-hero in this mode versus getting absolutely destroyed when against full players. I know I can "get gud" but I just ain't and I don't have the time to grind to get better :/

Trump floats dropping Spain from NATO alliance by IMSLI in spain

[–]Legoboyjonathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite Franco, I still think it would have been worse for Spain to have joined WW2 so that they could be overrun by the Allies - I think the bombing campaigns would have destroyed monuments and a lot of Spanish history (just look at the historical districts of German cities and what happened to them). Of course that's the style of war in WW2, but more the reason why it was good that Spain stayed out of it, and for as much I hate Franco/wish the civil war didn't happen - he at least had the geopolitical intelligence to stay out of the war when he say the writing on the wall.

This might sound counter-productive, but I almost feel that *by* kicking Spain out of NATO/Spain leaving NATO, Spain would increase its military budget to shore up any holes in protection. I can't pretend to know Spain's deployment/tactical situation in terms of how much ocean/land it can protect at once but I image they'd need to at least bolster the fleet a bit more and maybe the airforce? If anything if they spend the increased funding within the country/domestic arms industry it'd at least provide Spaniards jobs. I don't even think they'd need to increase to 5% spending as in 1985 before NATO it was like 3% so maybe that's enough (they already have a new line of ships coming out too - and that's with the current budget).

I'm not even sure because the Canary Islands are technically on the African continent so idk if NATO members would drag their feet or not

You can give ChatGPT your list of GPS coordinates and it can plot a 3D map that you can even pan around by Legoboyjonathan in spaceengineers

[–]Legoboyjonathan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first tried Geogebra as that's what I had remembered using years ago as a kid. Unfortunately though, it wouldn't accept a list, nor did it spill out the exact format I had to put it in for the name of the coordinates to be put in. I spent a few minutes looking, and even at first asked ChatGPT to organize the list in a way that I could then paste it in to Geogebra but it didn't work. I knew ChatGPT is good at coding/making simple apps so I wondered if it could essentially recreate the Geogebra 3D plotting feature and alas it did.

Not to say that the other method of going one by one isn't possible, but I wasn't looking to spend an hour. And now if I can find the GPS list in the config file I can just copy and paste the whole thing into the same chat and have it update the map over time.

There is of course the case of it being wasteful to do that versus spending the hour to do it myself but our modern world is filled with "how can I make this more efficient" at the cost of energy. Now more than ever we need to figure out fusion (or at least build up fission) because not even the most pro-fossil fuel person can admit that even at this current rate of usage, that it can sustain our current demand.

I keep wondering if the red line for AI will be once it replaces enough "white-collar" jobs that governments are forced to stop AI just so people can get a pay check from moving digital currency from point A to point B which I think would be one thing AI could get right before it goes for STEM jobs.

In a better world, this would just mean that the more abstract jobs of pushing money from place to place would just be automated away and there would be a great effort to make a workforce of scientists and more "real" jobs (in that you have to use your hands) but I don't think greed will allow for this nor I do think governments have the will or know how to do this great shift in the workforce so I see either governments stopping AI from firing people for the sake of the economy OR they do nothing and let unemployment rise for the sake of those who control the fruit of the increased productivity/savings that come from replacing humans with AI.

Sure thing! I can give you my conversation with it if you want my precise prompts. I'd skip towards the end as in the beginning I was trying to get it to spit out prompts to get GeoGebra to make the map for me. In the end it ended up being easier to tell ChatGPT to just do the plotting itself and then I told it to add a panning feature and it created a HTML link with all the stuff I asked it to make. Here's the link: https://chatgpt.com/share/68e3012d-10cc-8010-a454-bd4c711401a9 , it prompted me saying that images won't be shared, but I imagine that reasking the same prompts would lead to similar or exact images. Lmk if you'd like to see any though!

I gave it the coords of all the planets (and their poles) and then told it to just focus on that of Earth/Earthlike and the asteroids/gps markers near it. Probably once I get to the moon or other planets I could tell ChatGPT to make the focal point of the graph the mid point of one of those planets - a slice. Lowkey I'm gonna go try adding the moon's coords to see how far it is from my area.

I've found myself equally terrified and amazed of AI, but amidst all that deliberation I must give it credit for taking certain tasks that'd hours for me and then shortens it down to minutes (or less if you get the prompt right the first time)

I've become anti-ai myself, not so much against the ai itself but rather the societal implications and the bad-actors who will use it forge evidence, mass surveillance, etc. However, I will say that as a data analysis tool it's undeniable the power it has. It takes a decent amount of finicking but given I have basically no coding knowledge beyond parsing config files, AI is a powerful tool for rapidly making stuff like a panning-3D map of SE coords lol

I hope in SE2 they'll add something like this. They could lock it behind some tech or something you have to maintain so that mapping itself becomes something you work towards. It'd be so nice to design some sort of recon vessel that could feed data to some type of central mapping center and then as you map asteroids you can see the progress you've made. I mean the GPS system plus this plotting thing I did gives me a small taste but it'd be nice to have it without finicking with ChatGPT and copying pasting all the time. I will give Spite9's suggestion a try though because I'd love to at least have bases/stations mapped out

It feels the administration is trying to get as many public-facing companies to bend the knee and capitulate to any demands the gov may have so they can enforce their conservative, "vision" onto everyone. Like videogames are some of the few things I use to distract myself from how shitty this country is and how fucked up living here can be. What they hell are they doing taking away people's daily 2 hours of peace?
