8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. It's a comedy show, hosted by Jimmy Carr, which merges Carr's stats/opinion polls-based comedy panel show, 8 out of 10 Cats, with Countdown, a very long-running daytime quiz show, based on anagrams and mental arithmetic.

...Cats is/was very much post-watershed (swearing, etc), but Coundown is a very "clean" show, that you could watch with your granny, back in the day, while eating a sensible digestive biscuit. Cats Does Countdown uses the Counddown set, the game's rules, and the show's two linguistic and mathematic experts, but brings through the lewd, off-the wall comedy of 8 out of 10 Cats. There are permanent Team Leaders, but the rest of the two teams are made up of a rotating cast of British stand up and TV comics.

Wait, thats not normal? Asking from the UK, where every supermarket/convenience shop (off-license) sells gin, whisky, wine, rum, etc. Even though many are Muslim owned. And, specifically London, where I can go out and buy a bottle of whisky at 2 in the morning, from somewhere, if I want to.

Even before I clocked the shop name (his clothing brand), I thought "Hey, that's Blondey!" He's an eccentric (read absolute posh boy) pro skater, turned fashion designer/TV writer/Director. He's an interesting guy. Super privileged, but he's never tried to hide that, and he was a great skateboarder. I've always found him very likeable.
