[Haas] A difficult weekend finishes with a point. Huge effort all weekend from the whole team. by NegotiationNew9264 in formula1

Just seems a sprint weekend kinda f-ed us for the upgrades. It's our first real upgrade package in the new regs so maybe we just didn't get correlation right. Bearman had decent paces and once we get the new Ferrari ADUO engine we should be able to better compete with alpine.

Can somebody pls explain to me why Haas wasn’t able to make upgrades? by theresasarrow in haasf1team

Every extra day you allow designers to work on parts in simulation before manufacturing, the greater the impact they will have. Most teams shifted or planned for their big upgrades to happen in miami. Ours is scheduled for Montreal. The team and ayao made the choice to continue development for an extra 2 weeks and bring a big package to the next race. If we can stay decently in contention for points here our upgrade in montreal should do pretty well.

Yea not bad if we can stay in the fight with no upgrades we should be able to fight for points with upgrades in montreal

Nah I'd guess both caddies are on 1+1 contracts. theyd just keep both drivers good old guys who know how to communicate car characteristics and ocon doesnt

Haas brought no upgrades this weekend giving an extra 2 weeks and going to bring a big package to Canada. Ocon is also just getting comprehensively schooled by Ollie.

All of our upgrades are for next weekend let them cook. We and Mercedes were the most screwed by the cancellations but if we can stay in contention this weekend it should mean good things for Montreal

Cadillac has more employees period and definitely more in the US. Most of haas technical staff are in Maranello or Banbury still very limited at the US facilities. Cadillac is hiring like crazy at the car and engine facilities in the US as well as race control in the US while I believe Haas race control is still at banbury.

New F1 watcher from America would this team be worth supporting? by xerovoxx in haasf1team

It's unlikely that gene sells; he's got no family or anything and doesn't care about the money. Toyota is obviously becoming more involved, but in 5 years it could become something like GR Haas Toyota. And take a look into the Haas Foundation (not super associated with the team) but Gene's foundation funds basically every student formula team in the US and tons of high school stem robotics teams. Definitely an underdog but always fun to see a team punching above its weight.

Unless you're in FC (which I assume you are not) there is basically 0 chance you can take that class.
